Learn how to use your iPhone or iPad screen recorder to record a video conference call on Zoom. Before you can start recording, you need to add the screen recorder to Control Center and make sure the Control Center is accessible from apps.

Step 4. Touch + next to Screen Recording

The latter is now available and you can use it from the control center.

If you see a red minus (-) sign instead, it means the screen recording is already in Control Center. So you don't need to make any changes

Step 5. Press the Backspace button

If it was already green, this feature was already enabled and you don't have to make any changes.

Part 2 of 2: Record a meeting on Zoom

Step 1. Open Zoom on your iPhone or iPad

Its icon is blue and contains a white camera. You will find it most often on the home screen.

If you are not already logged in to your Zoom account, log in now

Step 2. Choose to start or join a meeting

  • Press on Start meeting if you are the host. This is located at the top left of the screen. You are then taken to a new screen, but do not yet press the Start Meeting button.
  • Press on Join the meeting (the blue icon with a white plus sign (+)) if joining a meeting, then enter the meeting ID (provided by the meeting host). You'll be taken to a new page, but don't tap Join Meeting yet.

Step 3. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen

Do this only when you are ready to record. The control center will open.

Step 4. Press the Record button

It looks like a circle surrounded by a second circle. A short countdown will appear and screen recording will start.

Step 5. Bring down the control center

You will then return to the previous screen, which is your Zoom meeting. Screen recording is in progress.

Step 6. Return to Zoom and press the button to participate

Tap either Start Meeting if you are starting a new meeting or Join if you are in a meeting in progress. The meeting will start and it will be recorded.

When you are ready to end the recording, go to the next step

Step 7. Slide your finger from the bottom to the top

The control center then opens.

Step 8. Touch the Record button

This is the same button you pressed previously, but is now red. Pressing it allows you to stop recording. You can find the full video in the Camera Roll on your iPhone or iPad.
