Learn how to restore your iOS device to a previous software version. This will erase the contents of your iPhone and you will not be able to restore using a backup of your current operating system. Also, Apple only allows downgrading an iOS device for about a week after releasing a new version.

IOS Downgrade Step 1

Step 1. Go to the iPhone Software site

An iPhone Software (IPSW) file requires Apple permission to implement. Typically, Apple continues to provide this permission for a week after a new software update is released.

For example, if you're trying to downgrade from an iOS version to iOS 10.3, you might be able to do so within a week of updating your version

  • All red links are IPSW files which are no longer signed by Apple. These files will not work on your device.
