Steps
Part 1 of 2: turn on localization

Step 1. Open the Settings app on your device
Find and touch the icon

in the applications panel to display your phone settings.

Step 2. Scroll down and touch Location
This option can be found in the Personal or Security section (depending on the Android version of your phone) of the Settings menu.

You should see this option at the top left of the Location menu.

Step 5. Select High Precision
Once you do, your device will use GPS, Wifi, Bluetooth, and mobile data to determine your exact location.
Part 2 of 2: find your position

Step 1. Open Google Maps on your device
The app icon looks like a map with a red location pin and you can find it in the apps panel.

Step 2. Touch the icon that looks like a crosshair
In fact, it's located at the bottom right of the map and will allow you to determine your current location by displaying it in the center of the map.

Step 3. Look for the blue dot on the map
Your position will be marked with a blue dot.
