You can learn how to create an image folder from which you can use its content to produce a document or a presentation with the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Copy as picture

Step 1. Open or create an Excel sheet

To do this, double click on the green icon, the one with a X, then click File in the menu bar at the top of the Excel window and:

  • click on To open to open an existing document or,
  • click on New to create a new document.

Step 2. Click and hold your finger on the mouse or on the touchpad

Step 3. Move the pointer

Select the set of cells that you want to make a copy of as an image. Once done, the selected cells of the Excel document appear highlighted.

Step 4. Release the pressure that you have held on the mouse or touchpad until now

Step 5. Click HOME

This is a tab in the upper left corner of your Excel window.

Step 6. Click the down arrow to the right of the Copy icon

This icon is located in the far left part of the toolbar.

  • On Mac, press ⇧ Shift while clicking Editing in the menu bar at the top of the screen.

Step 7. Click Copy as Picture…

  • On Mac, click Copy the image from the drop-down menu.

Step 8. Choose the appearance

Select one of the following choices.

  • As on screen to paste the image as it appears on the screen or,
  • As in print to paste the image as it will appear when printed.

Step 9. Click OK

The image is now saved to the computer clipboard.

Step 10. Open the document in which you want to use your Excel image

Step 11. Click in the part of the document where you want to place your image

Step 12. Paste the image

Press Ctrl + V on Windows or ⌘ + V on Mac. So the part selected in Excel that you copied will be pasted as an image in the document.

Method 2 of 2: Save as PDF

Step 1. Open or create an Excel sheet

To do this, double click on the green icon, the one with a X, then click File in the menu bar at the top of the Excel window and:

It is present in the menu bar at the top of the screen.

You can see it in the upper part of the drop-down menu.

It is visible in the middle of the dialog box.

It is located at the top of the drop-down menu.

It is present in the lower right corner of the dialog box.
