Do you want a new video game and want to install it on your computer? You can do this in different ways. We will see how to install it from the Steam games platform, or using a CD.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: From Steam

Step 1. Go to Steam
This is a site where you can find a lot of games, some are paid, but many great games are free!
If you haven't already done so, first of all, you have to install Steam on your computer and create an account (it's easy)

Step 2. Log into your account
Enter your username then your password and press to log in. If you want, you can choose to stay logged in, so you don't have to write your username every time, check the box Remember my password. Only do this if it's your computer, never on a shared computer, because then others could access your account!
Steam may ask you to enter a security code. You will find it in the inbox of the email address you provided to create your Steam account, also look in the trash! Steam also does this when you log in from another computer

Step 3. Tap Store
This option is at the top left of the screen.
If you place the mouse cursor on the word, you will see different options, new features, the games you want, the info …

Step 4. Choose a game
Go down a little, in the center, appear promos, new products, recommended games… On the left, you can choose by categories and by genre. If you know which game you want, at the top of the page, a little to the right, there is a (small) search bar. You can write the name of the game you are interested in there, you will see game names appear as you write, write the full name to find a specific game.

Step 5. Click on a game
You will be redirected to the page of this game. Scroll down a bit and click on Add to cart. It's a green button below the window showing photos and videos of the game. If the game is paid for, the price is next to the button. If it is free, it says Install on the button, it is immediately placed in your personal library.

Step 6. Tap Buy for Me
You can purchase the game for yourself (Purchase for myself) or for a friend. Your parents can buy you the game, for example.

Step 7. Choose a payment method
There are different payment methods depending on the country. Usually you can always pay by credit card or PayPal. If it is by credit card, it must be issued in the same country in which you buy a game. They check, because games do not have the same price in all countries.

Step 8. Buy the game
You're almost done, just hit Buy. Once the game is purchased, it is placed in your Steam library, where all your games will be placed.

Step 9. Click on Library
This option is at the top of the screen, on the left, next to Store.

Step 10. Install the game
Usually, when you choose a game, a small window opens, you can choose to install the game right away or later. Define in which folder and on which hard drive you want to install it. If you want to install it later, you'll find it on the left in your library. You just have to click on the name of the game to install it.

Step 11. Start the game
Click on the name of the game in your library. A new page opens, you just have to press To play to launch it. Installing a game with Steam is easy, but if you have 2 hard drives, consider choosing the one with the most space.
Method 2 of 2: With a CD

Step 1. Close any running applications
To install a game from a CD, it is best to close any programs you have launched, even your browser.

Step 2. Place the disc in the drive
Remember to put it with the part to be read (where the data is located) facing up, like a music CD.

Step 3. If asked, press Yes
Windows may ask you for confirmation before playing a CD to make sure you really want to open it. You just have to click on Yes Where To continue to start the installation.
- If the installation does not start automatically, click on To start up in the lower left corner of the screen. Select file explorer, press This PC then double-click on the disk drive logo, under Devices and drives.

Step 4. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen
The installation process is often the same, but there may be slight differences depending on the developer. Normally, we proceed like this (not necessarily in the same order).
- The installer will ask you to choose a language, then you will have to click on To continue Where Following (next).
- He will ask you to confirm that you agree with the terms and conditions, say yes then press Following (or continue).
- You will have to choose the folder in which you want to install your game. Confirm by pressing Yes Where Following …
- You will be presented with shortcut options, choose what you want and press To continue.
- You will probably have to enter the protection key for the game. You will usually find it in the manual or on the back of the CD box.

Step 5. When prompted, click Install
The installation of the game will then begin. Once it is finished, a game icon will appear on the desktop (if you have chosen this shortcut option). Stay in front of the screen, sometimes certain actions are necessary during the installation.

Step 6. Tap Done
The installation window will close. Some games will start automatically at this time, but sometimes this option is offered and you can say yes or no.
