Learn how to restrict desktop access to a Discord room to only certain members you want.
Steps

Step 1. Open Discord
Click the Discord application in the Windows menu (on PC) or in the Applications folder (on Mac), then sign in, if you are not already signed in.
- You can also sign in to Discord in your browser. Go to https://www.discordapp.com, click To log in at the top right of the screen, then enter your account details to log in.
- You must be a server administrator or have the necessary permissions to switch a room to private mode.

Step 2. Click on a server
Server icons are displayed in the left column of the screen. The list of rooms for this server will then appear.

Step 3. Hover over the living room to switch to private mode with your mouse
You will see two small icons.

Step 4. Click on the gear
This icon is to the right of the salon name.

Step 6. Click @everyone to select it
If it was already selected, you can skip this step.

Step 7. Click the red X in the right panel

Step 8. Click Save Changes
It's the green button at the bottom right of Discord. Now that you have removed all permissions from this room, you need to add the users manually.

Step 9. Click on the + next to the "Roles / Members" heading
The list of server members opens.

Step 10. Click on a person to add them to the room

Step 11. Grant permissions to the people you want
Click on the green check mark next to each permission. The four permissions listed below are recommended to allow users to chat with each other.
- Read messages.
- Send messages.
- Attaching files (optional).
- Add reactions (if you wish it).

Step 12. Click Save Changes
You have now added a member with classic permissions to the private room. You will need to repeat this process with each additional member to add. Only people you add will be able to use this lounge.
