Step 2. Type windows update
This action will initiate a search.

Step 3. Choose the corresponding result
You will find this at the top of the menu To start up.

Step 4. Open Windows Update settings
Click on Modify the parameters at the top left of the window.

Step 5. Click the drop-down menu in the Important Updates section
In this list, you will find these different options that will allow you to manage Windows updates.
- Install updates automatically (recommended): Selecting this option will make the entire process of downloading and installing updates automatic. This feature is only recommended if you have a high speed or unlimited internet connection. Windows updates consist of large files and downloading them normally can consume a lot of data.
- Download the updates, but let me choose whether to install them: This option is preferable if you have a good Internet connection, but do not have enough space on your hard disk. Windows will download the updates and prompt you to choose which ones you want to install and which ones to reject.
- Download updates, but let me choose whether to download and install them: When you choose this option, you give Windows the ability to check for available updates, but it cannot download and install them after you have chosen the ones you want to install.
- Never check for updates (not recommended): Choosing this option will prevent Windows from checking for, downloading, or installing updates. Either way, if you opt for this feature, it will not cause any system malfunction.

Step 6. Disable Windows Update
To do this, select Never check for updates (not recommended) at the bottom of the drop-down menu.

Step 7. Save your changes
Click on the gray OK button at the bottom of the window.
