You can access a Facebook profile and view certain information without having to log in. If you do this, you will be able to determine if it is an active account, but you will not be able to see the user's entire profile (such as their basic information, photos, or location).
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Use the profile search page

Step 1. Go to the Facebook home page on your computer
Go to You cannot access the profile search bar in the mobile version of Facebook.

Step 2. Scroll down and click the People link
This option is in the group of blue links towards the bottom of the login page.

Step 3. Click on the search bar
This is the white bar on the right side of the page with the text Search people.

Step 4. Enter the first and last name of a user
Make sure the name is spelled correctly. If you have tried this method before, you can try variations of the name such as Jack for the first name John or Vicki for Victoria etc.
You must prove that you are not a robot by entering the code that appears on the screen

Step 5. Click Search
This option is to the right of the search bar. Facebook will search for all profiles that match the name you entered.

Step 6. Browse the search results
If you can't find the profile of the person you're looking for, you can try a Google search.
If you find the person's profile on Facebook, you won't be able to click on it, but at least you will know that the person in question has a Facebook account
Part 2 of 2: Search in a browser

Step 1. Click on your browser's address bar
This is the white bar with text at the top of the browser page. Sometimes, users who do not appear in Facebook's internal search results may appear in Google search results.

Step 2. Type site:
facebook.com First name, Last name in the address bar. Replace the word First name with the user's first name and Last name with the user's last name.
For example, you can type site: facebook.com Jeanne Smith

Step 3. Press Return (Mac) or Entrance (PC).
Facebook will search for the user's name in its database.

Step 4. Click on a search result
You will see a limited preview of the user's profile. In most cases, you will be able to see the user's name and profile picture.
You can also do an image search to make sure the profile matches your search

Step 5. View the selected profile
If you've selected a user who appears in search results, you'll see their profile picture, name, and other public information.
Advice
- You can also ask a mutual friend to show you the profile page of the user you are looking for.
- In some cases, creating a fake Facebook account associated with an email address is the best way to view a user's profile. You can delete the Facebook profile in question as soon as you are finished.
Warnings
- If a Facebook user has hidden their profile from search results, their account will not be found on Google or in Facebook search results.
- Most users restrict access to their information only to their Facebook friends. If so, you won't even be able to see their profile photos.
