Adding likes to your Facebook profile allows your friends and other Facebook users to get an idea of the types of hobbies and activities you like. Sometimes the likes you include in your profile can allow you to make new friends and connect with other Facebook users who share the same interests as you. Your likes can be edited and managed via your profile menu. They can include pages of your favorite music or artists, your favorite books or athletes, and more.
Steps
Part 1 of 3: Access Likes
Step 1. Go to Facebook
Click on the Facebook link provided to you in the Sources and citations of this article.
Step 2. Click Return to Facebook
This option is at the top right of the page.
Step 3. Log in to Facebook
Log in to Facebook using your email credentials and password. You will then be redirected to the main Facebook page.
Step 4. Select your name at the top of the page
You will access your profile page.
Step 5. Click Edit Profile to view your profile information
Step 6. Click the More drop-down menu
This menu is located in the upper left corner of your cover photo.
Step 7. Select Likes from the menu
You will see a list of your likes (favorite music, movies and activities and a complete list of all your likes).
Part 2 of 3: remove likes
Step 1. Go to your Like page
Click directly on the link or image of the Like you want to remove from the list. You will be redirected to the Facebook page of the movie, book, or anything else that your likes represents.
Step 2. Hover the cursor over the I already like option on the page
A drop-down menu with an additional option will appear.
Step 3. Click I don't like this page anymore from the drop-down menu
This will remove that likes from your profile and that page will no longer appear in your likes list.
Part 3 of 3: Add Likes
Step 1. Click More at the top of your profile page
Then select Likes from the drop-down menu. The button Add Likes will be displayed.
Step 2. Click Add Likes
A search bar will appear.
Step 3. Type your topic of interest in the search bar
For example, wikiHow or Television. You will see a list of results appear.
Step 4. Make your choice
Select the result that matches your search from the drop-down menu below the search bar.
Step 5. Check your new Like in the list
The link or image of the page you liked will appear in the list and you will be able to see its posts.
