3 ways to change your location on Facebook

To update your information or to help someone find you more easily, you can change your current address on Facebook. This manipulation can be done on mobile or from the website.

Steps

Method 1 of 3: With an iPhone

Step 1. Open the Facebook application

Tap the white "f" icon on a blue background to open the Facebook app.

If you are not yet logged in to Facebook, type your email address (or phone number) and password, then press Log in.

Step 2. Press ☰

This button is located at the bottom right of your screen.

Step 3. Select your name

Your name should be at the top of the page.

Step 4. Scroll down to the About option

This option is directly above the status field on your journal.

Step 5. Choose Current City

You will find this option at the top of the screen.

Step 6. Tap the arrow next to Current City

Current City can be found in the section Places where you lived at the top of the page.

Step 7. Select Edit Current City

This option is in the drop-down menu that you just opened.

If you don't want your current city to appear in your profile, tap instead Share with.

Step 8. Tap the name of your current city

The option Current City is at the top of the screen.

If you want to hide your current city from your profile, select Only me at the top of the page Who can see this?. Your changes will be saved.

Step 9. Type the name of your current location

You'll see suggestions appear below the text field as you type.

You will see it appear below the text field.

You have just updated your current city in the section In regards to of your profile.

Method 2 of 3: Using an Android

On your Home screen or in the app drawer, tap the white "f" icon on a blue background.

If you are not yet signed in to Facebook, type your email address (or phone number) followed by your password, then press Log in.

This button is located at the top right of your screen.

To view your profile, tap your name at the top of the page.

Step 4. Select the About option

This option is located above the field dedicated to your statuses.

It's at the top of the screen.

Step 6. Pull down the menu next to Current city

This menu can be found in the section Places where you lived at the top of the page.

You will see this option appear in the drop-down menu.

If you want to hide this information from your profile page, select Share with.

Step 8. Select the name of your current city

At the top of the screen, select the name of your current city under Current City.

If you don't want your current city to be visible on your profile page, tap Only me at the top of the page Who can see this?

As you type, you'll see suggestions appear below the text field.

Step 1. Go to the Facebook website

If you're already signed in, Facebook will open on your news feed.

If you are not yet logged in to Facebook, enter your email address (or phone number) at the top right of the screen and click Log in.

You will see your name at the top right of the Facebook page.
