For one reason or another, you might want to edit the featured photos on Facebook. But you don't know how to do it. Find out with a few simple tips how to get there, whether you are using a device running iOS, Android or even the desktop version of the application.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Edit Featured Photos on Facebook Using iPhone or iPad

Step 1. Tap the application icon to open it
This icon looks like a white f on a blue background.

Step 2. Tap your profile picture
You can find it in the upper left corner of your screen, at the top of the news feed and near the Have your say field.

Step 3. Press the Edit Profile button
This button looks like the white silhouette of a person and a pencil located at the top right of your screen.

Step 4. Swipe your screen to Featured Photos
These are the photos located in the Featured Photos section under Edit details and above Have your say.

Step 5. Tap Edit Featured Photos
You will see this button under the photos that will appear in this section.
- Tap one of the photos in the Featured Photos section, if you don't see Edit Featured Photos.
- If you haven't added a photo yet, tap Add to the front page.

Step 6. Add or edit photos
Tap a photo icon that is in a gray square or in the lower left corner of an existing photo.
- Featured photos are meant to help other users get to know you better, so choose photos that express who you are.
- You can add up to five featured photos.
- These photos will always be public and can therefore be seen by everyone.

Step 7. Press PLUS in front of Filmstrip
Tap this button if you want to add a photo from your device's camera or gallery.

Step 8. Press MORE in front of Imported
Press this button if you want to add a photo from your Facebook albums.

Step 9. Delete photos by pressing ⓧ
This button is black and you'll see it at the top right of any photo.

Step 10. Press Save
You will see this icon at the top right of your screen. By tapping on it, featured photos will appear in the Intro section to the left of Journal.
Method 2 of 3: Edit Facebook Featured Photos on Android

Step 1. Tap the application icon to open it
This icon looks like a white f on a blue background.

Step 2. Tap your profile picture

These are the photos located in the Featured Photos section under Edit details and above Have your say.

Step 4. Tap Edit Featured Photos
You will see this button under the photos that will appear in this section.

Step 5. Add or edit photos

Method 3 of 3: Edit featured photos on Facebook with desktop version of Facebook

Step 1. Go to Facebook
If you haven't signed in yet, do so by entering your email address (or phone number) and password. Then click on Log in.

Step 2. Click on your username
You should see it in the blue band at the top right of your screen.

Step 3. Hover over Featured Photos section
You'll see it on the left side of the window, below Intro in Journal.
- If you had not yet added a photo, click on Add to the front page.

Step 4. Click on the gray pencil
It will appear at the top right of the Featured Photos section.

Step 5. Add photos
Tap a blue photo icon that is in an empty blue square.
- Featured photos are meant to help other users get to know you better, so choose photos that express your personality.
- You can add up to five featured photos.
- These photos will always be public and can therefore be seen by everyone.

Step 6. Click on + Import Photo
Do this if you want to add images from your computer.

Step 7. Choose one of your Facebook photos
All your Facebook photos will be displayed under the + Upload photo heading. Click on one of them to highlight it.

Step 8. Delete photos by clicking on the white X
You'll see it at the top right of any photo.

Step 9. Click Save
You will see this icon at the bottom right of the dialog box. By clicking on it, the featured photos will appear in the Intro section to the left of Journal.
