How to connect to Facebook: 9 steps (with pictures)

Want to connect to Facebook? To use this social network, you must create an account. When you have your account, you can log into Facebook on any computer or mobile device, anywhere in the world.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Connect from a computer

Step 1. Go to the Facebook home page in your browser

Use a search engine and go to the Facebook home page. If you are not already signed in, you will see the home screen.

Step 2. Enter your email address

In the upper right corner of your screen, there is a field for you to enter your email address. Enter the one you used to create your Facebook account.

If you don't have a Facebook account yet, learn how to create a new Facebook account.
If you have a phone number associated with your account, you can also sign in with it.

Step 3. Enter your password

You must enter your password in the following field to log in. If you have forgotten your password, click on Forgot your password just below.

Step 4. Determine if you want to stay logged in

If you are using your computer, you can check the box Stay connected. This will automatically enter your information for future connections. If you are on a public or shared computer, do not check the box.

Step 5. Click Connect

You will arrive directly on your news feed. If you've turned on login verification, you'll need to enter the code Facebook sent you on your phone.

Method 2 of 2: Sign in on a mobile device

Step 1. Download the Facebook app or go to the Facebook site

Almost all smartphones and tablets can download the app quickly from the Store. This application will allow you to connect to Facebook without going through the internet browser each time.

If you don't want to use the app, you can use your internet browser and go to the Facebook home page.

Step 2. Open the app

The first time you open it, you will be asked for your email address and password.

Step 3. Use the email address you used to create your Facebook account

Then write the associated password. If you forgot your password, click on the link below and follow the instructions to reset it.

You will be logged in automatically the next time you open the app. If you don't want to stay logged in, you will need to log out by going to the left menu

Step 4. Tap Connect

You must now be logged in to your account!
