  • If you want to see the pointer decompose on the screen with movement, check the box Show mouse tracks.
  • Optionally check the box Hide pointer while typing. As the label suggests, the pointer disappears as you type text. It does not work in all text editors.
  • If you ever lost the pointer on the screen, check the box. Show the location of the pointer when I press the CTRL key and you would find it again by pressing the Ctrl key.

Step 3. Change the settings of a Magic Mouse

With such a mouse, you have many more settings available, which are grouped into two sections: Point and click and Additional gestures.

  • Click on the tab Point and click, you can then adjust the pointing, scrolling and zooming.
  • Check the box Direction of scrolling: natural to be able to scroll the screen in both directions according to the direction of movement of the finger.

Step 4. Change your touchpad settings

You must open the preference Trackpad in the general preferences window, the icon is to the right of the mouse icon.   • Check the box Notification center to make the center in question appear with a gesture.
