If you want to be able to review a Snap or a conversation in Snapchat later, you can save them to your phone's personal archives. You can then consult them at any time.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Record a conversation

Step 1. Open Snapchat
Tap the white ghost icon on a yellow background. This will take you to the app's camera interface.

Step 2. Swipe right
This will open the menu Cat, from which you can open individual conversations.
You cannot save a conversation that you have already opened and closed

Step 3. Choose a Chat
Swipe right on the conversation you want to view it.

Step 4. Select some text
Tap and hold the text you want to save. The background will turn gray and a box with the message Checked in should appear to the left of the conversation.
- You can save the messages you have sent and those you have received.
- To delete the Chat you saved, long press it again. When you exit the conversation, unsaved messages will disappear.

Step 5. View the Chat
You can open the conversation at any time. The saved text will appear at the top of the page and will remain until you delete it.
Method 2 of 3: Take a screenshot of a received Snap

Step 1. Launch Snapchat
Select the yellow icon containing a white ghost to open the app's camera page.

Step 2. Swipe right
You will access the menu Cat.
You can't take a screenshot of a Snap you've already opened and closed

Step 3. Select a Snap
Tap the one you want to save to open it. Once it opens, you will have 1 to 10 seconds to take a screenshot of it before it disappears.
You can review one Snap per day by keeping your finger pressed on the one you want to reopen. If you quit the Snapchat app, you won't be able to see a Snap again

Step 4. Take a screenshot
Press the required button combination to take a screenshot of the Snap you are viewing. The contact who sent it to you will receive a notification letting them know that you took a screenshot.
- For an iPhone, simultaneously press the button On / Standby and the Home button on your phone then let go. You will hear a camera noise and the screen will flash. The screen image will then be saved to your device.
- For most phones running Android, press the lock and volume down buttons at the same time. On some Android phones, you may need to press the lock button and the main screen button at the same time.

Step 5. Look at the Snap
Open your phone's image gallery. The Snap you captured will be in the album by default Screenshot.
- If you have an iPhone, you will find the screenshot both in the album Screenshot and in the album Film in your photo gallery.
- By taking the screenshot, you will not remove the time indicator which is in the upper right corner of the Snap.
Method 3 of 3: Save your own Snap

Step 1. Open Snapchat
Tap the white ghost icon on a yellow background to open the app's camera interface.

Step 2. Take a Snap
Quickly tap the capture button at the bottom of the screen to take a photo or hold your finger on it to take a video.

Step 3. Save the Snap
Tap the download button which is the down arrow icon next to the time indicator in the lower left corner of the screen.

Step 4. Watch the Snap
Open your phone's image gallery. You will see the Snap you just saved in the default album. You will be able to view all the Snaps that you will save in this way.
- If you have an iPhone, the Snap will be saved in the albums Snapchat and Film from the photo gallery.
