One of the great things about Snapchat is the fact that the photos and videos you send self-destruct after being seen by the people you targeted. But what if you've shared a snap that you regret, and it hasn't been deleted yet? You can now delete the snaps that you have shared anywhere in Snapchat, including those that have not yet been opened by your recipients. Steps
Method 1 of 4: Remove from a chat

Step 1. Open Snapchat
Its icon is a small white ghost on a yellow background. It's on your Home screen or in your apps drawer.
- If your snap has already been opened, it will be automatically deleted.
- Any snaps that have not been opened will be automatically deleted after 30 days.

Step 2. Swipe right to the Chats page
All your conversations will be displayed there.

Step 3. Tap the chat containing the snap to delete
You can delete a snap that is in a chat with one person or a group chat.
Other people in the chat will be able to see that you deleted a snap, even if they can no longer see the snap itself

Step 4. Long press the snap and select Remove
This removes the snap from Snapchat's chat and servers.
If someone saved the snap as chat media, it will also be deleted from it
Method 2 of 4: Delete from a Story

Step 1. Open Snapchat
Its icon is a small white ghost on a yellow background. It's on your Home screen or in your apps drawer.
Snaps are automatically deleted from your Story after 24 hours. If you don't see the snap you're looking for, it has already been deleted

Step 2. Swipe your finger left across the camera screen
This opens the Stories page.

Step 3. Tap My Stories
It's at the top of the screen. The first snap of your Story will open.

Step 4. Swipe your finger up and down over the snap you want to remove
Some options will appear.

Step 5. Tap the trash can icon
This removes the snap from your Story.
Method 3 of 4: Delete Memories

Step 1. Open Snapchat
Its icon is a small white ghost on a yellow background. It's on your Home screen or in your apps drawer.

Step 2. Swipe your finger upward on the screen on the camera
The Memories page will open.

Step 3. Tap the snap to remove
The photo or video in question will be displayed.

Step 4. Press the three vertical dots ⋮
They are located at the top right. A menu will pop up.

Step 5. Tap Remove Snap from the menu
A confirmation message is then displayed.

Step 6. Tap Remove Snap again to confirm
The latter is now deleted from Memories.
Method 4 of 4: Remove from Snap Map or Spotlight

Step 1. Open Snapchat
Its icon is a small white ghost on a yellow background. It's on your Home screen or in your apps drawer.
Use this method to delete snaps that you have uploaded to Spotlight or saved to Snap Card

Step 2. Tap your profile icon
It is at the top left of the screen. Your profile will open.

Step 3. Press down on the small gear
It's at the top right of your profile.

Step 4. Scroll down and tap Spotlight & Snap Map
It's towards the end of the menu. A list of snaps shared on the Snap Map or Spotlight will appear.

Step 5. Tap the snap to remove
The video or photo will then open.

Step 6. Tap the little trash can icon
The snap will be deleted from the Snap Map or Spotlight.
