Steps
Part 1 of 2: Using Snapchat Lenses

Step 1. Open the Snapchat app
She is represented by the icon of a white ghost on a yellow background.

Step 2. Double-tap the camera page
This action will activate the front camera.
- You also have the option to activate this by tapping the camera switch button which is in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Make sure your whole face is on the screen and you're in a well-lit area.

Step 3. Press and hold your finger on your face image
You will see a grid appear and disappear. This will activate the Snapchat lenses feature at the bottom part of your screen. These lenses will use special effects to change the look of your face as well as the tone of your voice.
You may need to hold your finger on your face image for several seconds. Press and hold the screen again if the camera does not detect your face

Step 4. Browse through the available lenses at the bottom of your screen
You will see a filter followed by a voice modifier (represented by the cat head icon) appear in the middle of the screen.
Snapchat often changes its lenses. You may not find a lens that you have used before

Step 5. Press and hold your finger on the lens
This will allow you to record a video. As the video is recording, you will see a red line fill the circle that surrounds the filter. Lift your finger to stop recording.
You need to speak to the camera for the filter to change your voice. You will not be able to hear the effect produced until recording ends

Step 6. Play your video
It will play automatically when you have finished recording. You will now be able to hear the change the filter has made to your voice.
If you don't expect any sound, make sure your device's volume is turned on

Step 7. Edit your snap
Use the icons that appear at the top of the screen to add stickers, designs, and text to your snap. Swipe left or right on the screen to add filters.
- Change the duration of the snap viewing (by your friends) by selecting the stopwatch at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the download icon at the bottom of your screen to save the snap to your phone.
- Select the share button to publish the snap to your history.

Step 8. Submit your snap
Press the blue button on the right of the screen, then select the friends to whom you want to send the snap.
Part 2 of 2: use speed modifiers

Step 1. Open the Snapchat app
You have the option to change the speed of a Snapchat video, which changes the tone of your voice.

Step 2. Double-tap the camera page
You will now be able to use the front camera.

Step 3. Press and hold your finger on the circular button
This will allow you to record a video. As the video is recording, you will see a red line fill the circle that surrounds the filter. Lift your finger to end recording.

Step 4. Swipe left or right on the screen over the recorded video
There are several filters that affect the speed of your video.
- The filter <<< (rewind) will play the video and audio backwards.
- The filter Snail will play the sequence in slow motion.
- The filter Rabbit meanwhile will quickly play audio and video.

Step 5. Play your video
It will play automatically when you have finished recording. You will now be able to hear the change the filter has made to your voice.
