Unfortunately, you can no longer use a photo of yourself as a profile picture on Snapchat. It is therefore your Bitmoji avatar that will represent you on Snapchat, and it is possible to modify or delete it via the application. If you don't already have a Bitmoji, you'll need to create one before continuing.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Change your Bitmoji

Step 1. Open Snapchat

Click on the Snapchat app icon, it looks like a white ghost on a yellow background. Snapchat's camera will then start if you're signed in.
- If you are not logged in on Snapchat, first enter your username and password then click on Log in.

Step 2. Click on your profile icon
It is located in the upper left corner of the screen.

Step 3. Tap on your Snapcode
It is the icon with the Bitmoji on a yellow background. You will open a menu.

Step 4. Select Edit Bitmoji
It's at the top of the menu. A new menu will open.

Step 5. Click Select Selfie
This option is at the top of the menu. The Bitmoji app will open on the page with your Bitmoji's selfies.
- If you want to change your Bitmoji instead, click on Edit my Bitmoji. From here you can change various aspects like your avatar's hair, facial features, and attire. When you are happy with your changes, you will click “✓” in the upper right corner of the screen to save and update your Snapchat profile picture.

Step 6. Select a new selfie
Click on a selfie that you want to use as your Snapchat profile photo. You should see a “✓” appear in the corner of the selected selfie.
- You may be asked to perform an action on the Bitmoji app (for example, turn on notifications). If so, click To leave to access the selfie selection page.

Step 7. Tap Done
The green button is at the bottom of the screen.

Step 8. Click Back

It is located in the upper left corner of the screen. Your updated Bitmoji profile picture will appear on the yellow background of the Snapcode.
Method 2 of 2: Remove your Bitmoji

Step 1. Open Snapchat

Click on the Snapchat app icon that looks like a white ghost on a yellow background. Snapchat's camera will then start if you're signed in.
- If you are not logged in on Snapchat, first enter your username and password then click on Log in.

Step 2. Click on your profile icon
It is located in the upper left corner of the screen.

Step 3. Go to settings

This gear icon is located in the upper right corner of the screen. The settings page will open.

Step 4. Select Bitmoji
It's in the middle of the menu. By doing this, you will open a popup menu.

Step 5. Choose Desynchronize My Bitmoji
The text in red is at the bottom of the menu.

Step 6. Tap on Desynchronize when it appears
It's a purple button. By doing this, you will be removing your Bimoji avatar from your Snapchat profile.
