Usually, taking a screenshot of someone else's Snapchat will result in a notification to that person's address. If you do not want the owner of the Spanchat to be notified in this regard, there is a procedure, however quite complex. Here are the steps to take a screenshot of someone else's Snapchat discreetly, without them knowing.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Take a screenshot without notification

Step 1. To get started, do this process on your own Snapchat account

To be on the safe side, send yourself a Snapchat. By proceeding on your own account, you will know if the method works perfectly before applying it to a third-party account.

This method can work on Snapchat Stories, but then again, it's best to test on your own account first. Indeed, for some people, it only works on Snapchat

Step 2. Activate “Airplane” mode on your smartphone

The "Airplane" mode will automatically deactivate the internet on your smartphone, which will naturally prevent Snapchat from sending any notification to the owner of the account concerned by the screenshot.

  • If you are using an Apple device: Open the Control Center located just above the Home button and activate "Airplane" mode.
  • If you are using an Android device (valid for most models): tap on the Settings button, scroll down until you reach the option “Wireless and network”, then tap on “More”. This is where you can check or activate "Airplane mode". If that doesn't work, check out this article.

Step 3. Make sure Snapchat is offline

Once the "Airplane" mode is activated, Snapchat should display a small red bar at the top of the screen, accompanied by the message "Unable to refresh. Try again”. The absence of this red bar simply means that you are still connected to the Internet: make sure that "Airplane" mode is activated and that WiFi is indeed deactivated.
