Posts with animated GIFs are commonplace on Tumblr, but if you've never created one before, chances are you don't know how they appeared there. The process is relatively straightforward, and if you already know how to post or blog to other posts, you're on the right track.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Add GIFs to a new post

Step 1. Go to your Tumblr dashboard
Visit the Tumblr homepage and if necessary, log into your account. You will then be redirected to your dashboard.
If you are already logged in, you will be redirected to your dashboard as soon as you arrive on the home page.

Step 2. Create a new text post
Go to the post bar at the top of the Tumblr dashboard. Look for the option Text and click it once to create a text post.
The post bar is located in the top pane of the dashboard, right next to your avatar. The button Text is the first option available. It is indicated by an icon Aa.
Click on the button Text to bring up the text editor.

Step 3. Click on the camera icon
Left click in the field Your text here to display the plus button (+) next to the text editor. This button displays the additional options: all you have to do is click on the camera icon that appears.
The plus button is to the left of the text editor and located under your avatar. The camera icon is the first additional option displayed.
Click on the button to bring up a dialog box from which you can choose a GIF.

Step 4. Select the location of your GIF
In the displayed dialog box, navigate through the folders on your computer until you find the-g.webp

The download speed will vary depending on the size of the-g.webp" />

Step 6. Resize the GIF, if necessary
If you want to edit the-g.webp
Click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the text editor. Hover your mouse over Text editor and click on the down arrow next to it. Select Html in the options offered.
Find the name of your GIF. Immediately after the name, enter "width = ###" and replace "###" with the desired pixel size. Your-g.webp" />
Check that your file size has changed by resetting the Text editor in Rich text.

Step 7. Add additional information
You can post the-g.webp
Click in the field Title and enter the title you want to give your post.
Click in the field #tags and enter the tags you want to insert. Use the symbol # at the start of each new tag.
You can also add text directly in the text editor. Your text can be placed before or after the GIF.

Step 8. Click the Publish button
Now that all the elements of your post are in place, all you have to do is click on the button Publish in the lower right corner of the text editor to complete and publish your post.

Method 2 of 2: Add GIFs to a Disciplined Post

Step 1. Find the post that you want to blog
If you don't already have it in front of you, find the post you want to blog. You can blog posts on your dashboard or posts found on another user's blog.
Please log in before continuing. You won't be able to do anything until you sign in to your account, even if you have access to posts without being signed in

Step 2. Click on the Repeat icon
Find the blogger icon, which looks like two arrows on top of each other, and click it to open the blogger editor.
The blogger editor is similar to the text editor, except that the content of the post you want to be able to blog is displayed above the text field

Step 3. Click on the camera icon
Left click in the field Add a caption if you want to display the plus icon (+) to the left of the editor. This button displays the additional options and all you have to do is click on the camera icon that appears.

Step 4. Select the-g.webp" />
Search the directories and folders on your computer for the-g.webp
To open to start the download.

Step 5. Wait for the-g.webp" />
Tumblr will download the file as soon as you click To open in the dialog box. Wait for the blue bar indicating the progress of the process to appear on the screen.
Once the download is complete, the-g.webp" />Add a caption if you want. The exact download time varies from file to file, but it usually doesn't take more than a few seconds.

Step 6. Resize the GIF, if desired
You can change the size of the-g.webp
Rich text To Html.
Look for the gear icon in the upper right corner of the text editor, just above the post you want to blog. Click on it and look for the field Rich text at the bottom of the list. Select Html.
Enter "width = ###" after the name of your GIF, but replace the "###" with the desired pixel size.

Step 7. Add other comments or details
You can reflect on the post as is, with the-g.webp
You can enter text in the field Add a caption if you want before or after the downloaded GIF.
Also note that you can add tags in the field #tags if you want it. Note that there is no field Title in the case of a raffle.

Step 8. Click the Reblog button
If you are satisfied with your work, click on the button Reblog in the lower right corner of the editor.
Once this step is completed, your post is finalized and made public. The original post and your captioned-g.webp" />
Advice
You will need to first save the-g.webp" />Save Image As that appears in the drop-down list. Select a location on your computer, modify the name of the file as desired then click on Save to save it.
Warnings
Animated GIFs should be no more than 2MB and 540 pixels wide. Tumblr will not be able to upload files that exceed these dimensions and you will need to either resize your-g.webp" />
