Find out the steps to find the version number of your Internet Explorer browser. Internet Explorer 11 is the last available version of the browser, as Microsoft replaced it with the Microsoft Edge browser. Internet Explorer is no longer supported by Microsoft. If you don't have Internet Explorer 11, you will need to update Internet Explorer to be safer. You can also download Microsoft Edge browser.
Steps

Step 1. Open Internet Explorer
This application is represented by a small light blue e surrounded by a golden ring.

Step 2. Click on Settings

This can be found at the top right of the Internet Explorer page. A drop-down menu will appear.
- If you don't see this gear, press the alt = "Image" key on your keyboard, then click the tab Aid at the top left of the page.

Step 3. Click About Internet Explorer
It's at the bottom of the drop-down menu. A pop-up window will open.

Step 4. Find out your version of Internet Explorer
Look at the number that appears to the right of the Version heading in the middle of the pop-up window. The number that appears before the period denotes the global version (for example, IE 10 or 11) and the following digits denote the version more precisely.
