The popup blocker in Internet Explorer prevents sites from opening popups while you are browsing. This is a good way to get rid of ads, but it can be a problem for sites that rely on popups to use. To be able to access these sites, you can deactivate the popup blocker or decrease its level of effectiveness.
Step 1. Launch Internet Explorer
If your device is a Surface or Windows tablet, select Office on the home screen or in the list of applications, then select the Internet Explorer browser icon in the taskbar.
Step 2. Select the settings button or the Tools menu
If you do not see any of these options, press the key. Alt and select the menu Tools.
Step 3. Choose Internet Options
You will access the Internet Explorer browser options window.
Step 4. Select the tab
Step 5. Deselect the Enable popup blocker option
Select option To apply to save the changes.
Step 6. If you don't want to turn off the popup blocker, you can decrease its intensity level, however
Select the settings option to access the popup blocker settings. From the drop-down menu that appears at the bottom of the page, choose Weak to reduce the blocking level. Only popups from legal sites would be allowed. You can also add sites to the exceptions list to always allow them to use popups.
