Add-ons, also known as plug-ins, are tools for adding new functionality to a software or program, and you have the option of integrating new add-ons into your Internet Explorer browser. However, before proceeding with the installation of an add-on, you must update your browser, in case you are not using the latest version. Since Microsoft has discontinued technical support for older versions of Internet Explorer, you should also consider using another browser such as Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome in the future.
Step 1. Open your Internet Explorer browser
The Internet Explorer icon is represented by a e light blue with an encircling yellow band.
Step 2. Click Settings
This button is located in the upper right corner of the Internet Explorer window.
Step 3. Click Manage Add-ons
You will find this option at the top of the drop-down menu Settings.
Step 4. Click Search for other toolbars and extensions …
This is a link at the bottom of the page Manage Add-ons.

Step 5. Browse the available add-ons
A list including the extensions available for Internet Explorer will appear on this page.
Step 6. Click Add, right next to the add-on of your choice
A window will appear as soon as you click on this button.
Step 7. Click Add when prompted
This action allows you to add the add-on to your browser.
