Did you know that with WhatsApp, admins (administrators) of a group can give the admin status to any participant and remove it to another admin? Yes, you can if the situation calls for it. Find out how to get there.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Add an administrator

Step 1. Open the WhatsApp application
The app icon looks like a green bubble around a white phone handset. You can find it on your home screen if you are using a device running iOS, but also on an Android, where you can still find it in the applications drawer.
Note that only current administrators can appoint someone else as administrator

Step 2. Tap Chat
This tab is located at the bottom of the screen on an iPhone. On Android devices it is called DISC and you will be able to see it at the top left of the screen.

Step 3. Select a group of which you are an administrator
If you haven't created one yet, read this article.

Step 4. Tap the group name at the top of the chat

Step 5. Tap the name of the person to designate
You should see their name in the Participants section.
- The person you want to appoint must already be a member of the group. Otherwise, press Add participants and select its name, then press Add to confirm.

Step 6. Select Appoint as group admin
This person can now add or remove participants from said group. If you want, you can still name other people as admin.
Part 2 of 2: Remove an administrator

Step 4. Tap the group name at the top of the chat

Step 5. Tap the name of the admin to remove
You should see their name in the Participants section.

Step 6. Tap Remove
By doing so, he will no longer belong to the group. However, if you want them to stay in the group as a simple participant, you need to tap Dismiss Admin.

Step 7. Touch Add Participants
You will see this option at the top in the Participants section under Group settings.

Step 8. Select the person you deleted
If you don't see it listed, use the search box at the top of the screen to find it.

Step 9. Tap its name
Then press the green button that looks like a circle with a v inside. By doing so, the user you deleted will become a regular member of the group again, this time not being an admin.
Advice
- Only name someone you trust admin. Otherwise, as soon as you do, it can remove your privileges as an administrator.
- Note that all group members can change the name or subject of the group.
