Are you having trouble calling one of your contacts on WhatsApp? With a few very simple tips, find out how to do it on an iPhone and on an Android.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Using an iPhone or iPad

Step 1. Tap the WhatsApp application icon to open it
If you haven't signed in yet, follow the instructions that will appear on your screen to register your phone number.

Step 2. Press CALLS
This button is located at the bottom left of your screen.

Step 3. Press ➕
You will see this icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

Step 4. Find the contact you want to call
You could scroll down to find that contact

Step 5. Tap the icon that looks like a handset
It's located next to the video call icon to the right of your contact's name.
- If prompted, tap TO ALLOW to allow the app to access your device's microphone and camera.

Step 6. Speak clearly into the microphone
You should speak clearly into the microphone when the recipient picks up and answers.

Step 7. Press the red phone icon to end the call
It is located at the bottom of your screen.
Part 2 of 2: With an Android

Step 1. Tap the WhatsApp application icon to open it

Step 2. Press CALLS
This button is located at the top right of your screen.

Step 3. Tap the icon that represents New Call
It looks like a round green with a + next to a white handset and is located at the bottom right of your screen.

Step 4. Find the contact you want to call
You could scroll down to find that contact

Step 5. Tap the icon that looks like a handset
It's located next to the video call icon to the right of your contact's name.
- If prompted, press, CONTINUE and TO ALLOW to allow the app to access your device's microphone and camera.

Step 6. Speak clearly into the microphone
You should speak clearly into the microphone when the recipient picks up and answers.

Step 7. Press the red phone icon to end the call
It is located at the bottom of your screen.
