Tired of using your e-mail web interface? It can indeed be difficult to organize the management of your emails through this interface. If you are an active user of e-mail services, Outlook might offer you better possibilities. You can quickly integrate your email information and start sending and receiving messages in just a few minutes.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Set up Gmail

Step 1. Enable IMAP protocol in Gmail
The IMAP protocol allows you to communicate twice with your e-mail service and thus avoids the loss of e-mails. IMAP also allows you to check your messages from any service, which is becoming more and more common. Messages read from Outlook will be marked as read in your Gmail mailbox and vice versa.
- Log into Gmail and click on the gear icon in the top right corner.
- Click on Settings.
- Click on the tab Transfer and POP / IMAP.
- Select the button Enable IMAP.
- Click on Save Changes.

Step 2. Open Outlook
Click on the menu Tools and select Accounts or email accounts, and then click Add. If you are using Outlook 2010 or Outlook 2013, click the tab Files and select the option Information. Click on Add an account.
- Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types.

Step 3. Enter your IMAP protocol information
You will need to provide the following information to successfully synchronize your Gmail account and receive emails.
- Server: imap.gmail.com
- Harbor: 993
- Requires SSL: Yes

Step 4. Enter your Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) information
You will need to enter the following information in order to synchronize your Gmail account and thus send emails.
- Server: smtp.gmail.com
- Port: 465 or 587
- Requires SSL: Yes
- Requires authentication: Yes
- Use the same settings as for your incoming mail server.

Step 5. Enter your account information
In addition to entering server information, you will also need to enter your account information. This will allow Outlook to connect to Gmail for you and assign the correct label to your messages.
- Full Name or Display Name: This is the name that should appear on emails you send.
- Account name or username: your Gmail address ([email protected]).
- Email address: your Gmail address again.
- Password: your Gmail password.

Step 6. Send and receive messages
When you have set up Gmail, you can use Outlook to send and receive messages from your Gmail account. You can start to organize your exchanges using the features of Outlook.
Method 2 of 4: Configure Yahoo

Step 1. Activate the POP mail server on Yahoo
Yahoo Mail offers the POP mail server to external clients, except on its mobile network. As for Outlook, therefore, you have to use POP. With POP, messages read on one of the email clients are not automatically marked as read on Yahoo.com. This means that Yahoo Mail and Outlook Mail are not synchronized.
- Log into your Yahoo mailbox and click on the gear icon at the top right.
- Click on Settings.
- Click on Edit.
- Select POP. This option is to the right of Access your Yahoo mail from anywhere.
- Set the spam options for your POP server by clicking on the drop-down menu. You have three options.
- Do not download junk mail. Only your inbox messages will be transferred to your email client.
- Download spam emails without labeling them. Spam emails will be received but will not be referenced.
- Download spam e-mails, but precede their subject with the word Spam. Spam will be received and will be renamed Spam in your Oultlook inbox.
- Click on Save.

Step 2. Open Outlook
Click on the menu Tools and select Accounts or email accounts, and then click Add. If you are using Outlook 2010 or Outlook 2013, click the tab Files and select the option Information. Click on Add an account.
- Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types.

Step 3. Enter your POP3 protocol information
You will need to provide the following information to successfully synchronize your Yahoo account and receive emails.
- Server: pop.mail.yahoo.com
- Harbor: 995
- Requires SSL: Yes

Step 4. Enter your Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) information
You will need to enter the following information in order to synchronize your Yahoo account and thus send emails.
- Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
- Port: 465 or 587
- Requires SSL: Yes
- Requires authentication: Yes

Step 5. Enter your account information
In addition to entering server information, you will also need to enter your account information. This will allow Outlook to log into Yahoo for you and assign the correct label to your messages.
- Full name or display name: This is the name you want to appear when people receive messages from you.
- Account Name or Username: Your Yahoo address ([email protected]).
- Password: your Yahoo password.

Step 6. Click on the Advanced tab
You will have to choose how to manage your received messages. You have the option of erasing or keeping a copy of the message on Yahoo when you receive the message in Outlook.

Step 7. Send and receive messages
When you have set up Yahoo, you can use Outlook to send and receive messages on your Yahoo account. You can start to organize your exchanges using the features of Outlook.
Method 3 of 4: Configure Outlook

Step 1. Download Outlook Connector
This program allows you to connect to your Outlook.com (formerly Hotmail) account with Outlook. There are two modes of communication between these two accounts which synchronize messages, contacts, calendar and many other settings.
- Outlook Connector is free and requires a connection. It works with all versions of Outlook. If you are using a 64-bit operating system, be sure to download the 64-bit program.
- Launch the software after downloading it. Follow the steps of the installation wizard.

Step 2. Open Outlook
Click on the tab File and select Add an account.

Step 3. Enter your Outlook.com credentials
Make sure the Email Account check box is selected. Enter the following information.
- Your name: the one you want to appear in the emails you send.
- Email address: your Outlook.com account or your Hotmail address.
- Password: your Outlook.com account password or your Hotmail password.

Step 4. Click Next
If you haven't installed Outlook Connector yet, you need to do so now. If properly installed, your Outlook.com account will sync with Outlook.
- If you've changed your Outlook.com password, consider changing it in Outlook as well. You can do this from the button Account settings in the Files tab.

Step 5. Start using Outlook
Now that your Outlook account is connected, all messages, contacts, and calendars are synced. You can add or remove messages either from the web browser or from the Outlook client.
Method 4 of 4: Configure Comcast

Step 1. Open Outlook
Click on the menu Tools and select Accounts and Email Accounts, then click Add. If you are using Outlook 2010 or 2013, click the tab File and select the Information option. Click on Add an account.
- Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types.

Step 2. Enter your display name and account credentials
Your display name is the name that appears when you send your emails.
In the email address field, enter: [email protected]

Step 3. Enter your incoming mail (POP3) information
Enter the connection settings so that Outlook can retrieve your Comcast inbox. Check all the fields on the tab Advanced.
- Server: mail.comcast.net
- Harbor: 995
- Requires SSL: Yes

Step 4. Enter your outgoing mail (SMTP) information
Enter the following settings to be able to send emails from your Comcast address from Outlook. Check all the fields on the tab Advanced.
- Server: smtp.comcast.net
- Harbor: 465
- Requires SSL: Yes
- Requires authentication: Yes

Step 5. Click on the Advanced tab
You will have to choose how to handle the received messages. You can either remove them from your Comcast account when they are uploaded to Outlook, or keep a copy on Comcast.
Messages deleted from the Comcast server can no longer be recovered

Step 6. Send and receive emails
When Comcast is configured, you can start using Outlook to send and receive emails through the Comcast account. You can start to organize your exchanges using the features of Outlook.
