Hotmail users have been integrated with Microsoft's free Outlook service, so you can sign in and sign out of your Hotmail account from Outlook.com. Method 1 of 2: Sign out on an Internet browser
Step 1. Go to Outlook in an Internet browser
Your Hotmail inbox is displayed immediately if you are already logged in.
- It is not possible to sign out on the Outlook phone app on an Android device, iPhone, or iPad. You can only sign out of your account on a phone or tablet by uninstalling and then reinstalling the app.
- This method will disconnect you from your current session. If you're signed in on another computer, phone, or tablet, you'll stay signed in on them except by signing out of all your devices.
Step 2. Click on your username
You will find it at the top right of your inbox.
Step 3. Click Sign Out

Using your browser, this method will allow you to disconnect from all of your Hotmail sessions. You can open the site on a computer, phone or tablet.
Log in with your Hotmail username and password when prompted
Step 2. Click Change Password
This is the first button on the left of the page and is represented by a small key. By changing your password, you will be logged out of all your devices.
Step 3. Enter your current password and a new one
Click with your mouse on the corresponding text boxes, your keyboard is activated and you can type.
Step 4. Click Save
If you were logged in to your Hotmail account on other computers, phones or tablets, you will be logged out.
