Do you have some awesome videos that you want to share with your friends and family? With Outlook.com (formerly Hotmail), you have different ways to add videos to your emails, from the attachment to sharing on OneDrive through the link on YouTube.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Attach video files

Step 1. Start a new mail
Log in to Outlook.com (formerly Hotmail and Windows Live mail) and start a new message. Make sure the recipient's address is correct and type whatever you want in the subject and body of the message.
- You can start a new email by clicking on the button New at the top of the page.

Step 2. Attach the file
Click on the button Insert at the top of the page and select Files as Attachments. You can then search your computer for the video file you want to send. Select it to attach it to the email.
Step 3. Compress large files
Outlook.com has a 10 Mb file size limit, which is too small for most video files. You can use compression software to compress the video file to a smaller size. Your recipient will then need to unzip the file in order to watch the video.

Step 4. Both Windows and Mac can compress files without additional software, but you can use a third-party program to achieve better compressions and smaller files
See this guide for details.
If your file is still too large to attach, see the next method to share the file using your OneDrive account
Method 2 of 3: Use OneDrive to share large files
Step 1. Share with OneDrive
If the file is too big, you will be told that you must first add it to your OneDrive (formerly SkyDrive) account and then share it through this service.

Step 2. All Microsoft accounts come with 3Gb of free storage in OneDrive
Step 3. Open OneDrive
Click on the button Go to OneDrive.com that appears when you try to attach a video that is too big.

Step 4. Download the file
Click on the button To download at the top of the OneDrive page and select the video you want to share. The video will be uploaded to your OneDrive account. For big videos or slow connections, this can take a long time.

Step 5. Share it in the mail
Once the file is downloaded, go back to Outlook.com and click the button again Insert. This time select Share from OneDrive. A new window will appear, allowing you to choose the file you want to attach. Choose it and click To open.

Step 6. Send the email
The attached video will be shared as a link on your OneDrive account. The recipient can click the link to download the video to their own computer for viewing.
Method 3 of 3: Link to YouTube links

Step 1. Find the video you want to share
Open the video you want to watch on YouTube. Even if you can't embed the video in your email, you can link it so that the recipient can easily open it.

Step 2. Click the Share tab
It's located under the video you want to share.

Step 3. Copy the link
When you click on the “Share” tab, you will see a link for the video under the social media icons. Copy this link to add it to your email.
If you want to share the video and have it start at a specific time, take a look at the “Start from” box and enter when you want the video to start. The link will be modified to take into account the new start time
Step 4. Paste the link in the body of your email
Your recipient will be able to click the link to visit the YouTube page and watch the video.
