Steps

Step 1. Open Slack

on PC or in the applications folder on Mac. You can also connect to your Slack team at

Step 2. Click on the channel in which you want to post your code
Your channels appear in Slack in the left column.

Step 3. Click # Message
It's at the bottom of the screen.

Step 4. Write down anything you want to include in your code
This text will appear before your code, so you can add a description or mention another user.

Step 5. Type `` '' (three backslash marks)
The key for slanted quotes is in the middle of the top rows of your keyboard. To format your snippet correctly, you'll need to enclose it between two sets of three quotes.

Step 6. Write or copy your code

Step 7. Type `` '' after the code

Step 8. Press Enter gold Return.
The code now appears in the string, in a fixed-size, easy-to-read font.
