To delete a contact in the LINE application, you must first block or hide it. Then you will be able to permanently remove it from LINE app. There may be some slight differences depending on the versions of the operating system of electronic devices and the versions of LINE used.
Step 1. Access LINE
On the home page of your tablet or smartphone, press the green icon with “LINE” written on it in a white chat bubble.
Note that removing a person from your contact list is permanent. You will no longer be able to contact her again
Step 2. Open the contact list
Find on the LINE home page the icon that presents a character with just below the inscription Friends.
Step 3. Select a person
In your contact list, tap the person's name and slide your finger left to bring up 2 options.
Step 4. Press Hide Where To block.
Since your goal is to remove someone from your list, choosing one of the two options will get you there.
- If you prefer to temporarily isolate the person, choosing one of the two options is sufficient, as you can later reinstate the person in your list. The option To hide will just remove the contact from your list. You will still have the option to receive messages from the person. If you choose the option To block, the person will no longer be able to send you messages.
Step 5. Click…
Select … to display the various functions of LINE.
Step 6. Press the gear button
At the top right of your screen, you should see the drawing of a gear. Tap it to display the page Settings by LINE.
Step 7. Select Friends
Browse the list of headings, then click on the one named Friends which is in the last functions listed.
Step 8. Choose Hidden Users Where Blocked users.
Depending on the choice you made earlier, select one of the two options.
Step 9. Tap Edit
Following the name of your contact, you can see the button To modify. Tap on it to bring up a list of options.
Step 10. Click Remove
Select option To delete to permanently remove the contact from your friends list and from the list Hidden users Where Blocked users depending on where you put it.
