Advice
- If you live in Canada, contact the National DNCL (National Do Not Call List) to stop receiving (or receiving fewer) telemarking calls. In France, Bloctel manages the list of telephone numbers that direct sellers cannot access.
- You can report spam to the AFMM (French Association for Mobile Multimedia) from the Service public.fr site.
Warnings
- Do not respond to mobile spam. Mobile spam is generally aimed at extracting your personal information. You should never reveal your personal information to anyone. This includes your bank account number, PIN codes, banking information, information registered with a service or company account, your social security number, and your email.
- Do not click on any of the links that appear in a spam message. These links can install malware on your smartphone or redirect you to a phishing site. A phishing site is a website masquerading as a legitimate site, but the purpose of which is to steal your personal information.
