You can quickly accumulate a lot of emails without paying attention. On iPhone or iPad, it is very easy and fast to delete a large number of emails from the Gmail mailbox.
Step 1. Go to Gmail on iPhone
On your iPad or iPhone, look on the Home screen for an icon that shows a white envelope with a large “M” in red. You can also find the app by browsing your device's file tree. Once you find the Gmail icon, tap on it.
Step 2. Choose a message to delete
In the list of your emails, press the colored circle to the left of an email you want to delete.
By pressing this circle, you select the email and you can see that the circle has turned blue
Step 3. Select the other emails
Browse the list of your emails and press the colored circles of the emails you no longer want to keep.
All the selected emails are found with a "V" shaped mark in the blue circle to the left of the title
Step 4. Tap on the icon.
At the top of your screen on the right, tap the trash can icon. This action allows you to delete all the emails from your mailbox that you have selected.
- A notification appears each time at the bottom of your screen to inform you of the deletion of an email.
- An email that you have just deleted can immediately be recovered. Just press to cancel on the right, in the notification message that appears at the bottom of your screen.
