A lot of people have social media profiles and email profiles with different providers. With the large number of profile photos and information accessible to anyone, security is crucial for many people. Whoever you are, it's important that all of your accounts are secure. If you have a Gmail account, it is possible to set it up so that even your profile picture is private. It is quite easy and you will feel more secure when reading your emails.
Steps

To log in, click on the text box in the middle and enter your email address. Then click on the box just below and enter your password. Click on the button Log in below to access your account.
Once you are logged in, you are on your Gmail inbox page. On the right, you can click on the small cogwheel

Step 3. Go to the Settings page
Select the cogwheel and a drop-down menu appears. Push the button Settings, which is the 3rd from the top. This takes you to the Gmail settings page.

Step 4. Make sure you are in the General tab at the top left
This is the default settings menu.
- If by chance you find yourself in another menu, look at the top of the screen, just below Settings. The first option from the left is General. Click on it to be on the General page, in the Settings.

Step 5. Scroll down until you see My Picture
It's about halfway down the Settings page. You know you've come to the right place when you see your profile picture right next to the menu.

Step 6. Change your visibility
Above your photo you'll see a link in blue that says Edit my picture. To the right of this link, you have two options: "Visible by all" and Visible only to contacts I can chat with.
- There is a radio button next to each. To make your photo private, click the box next to the second option.
- If done correctly, the only people who will be able to see your photo are those you have added to your contacts.

Step 7. Save your changes
When you are happy with your changes, all you have to do is scroll to the bottom of the page. You must click on the button Apply changes to finalize your changes.
