Find out if your friends read the message or watched the video or picture you sent them on Snapchat.
Steps

Step 1. Open the Snapchat app
She is represented by the icon of a white ghost on a yellow background.

Step 2. Take a snap
To do this, use the large circular button at the bottom and middle of the screen.
- Press the button to photograph.
- Hold the button down to record a ten-second video.

Step 3. Add filters or edit your snap
The display screen of your snap offers several options allowing you to personalize the video or image before sending it.
- Swipe the screen to the right or left to browse the available filters including colors, location and temperature.
- Use the tools that appear at the top of the screen to add a caption, stickers or to draw on your snap.
- Tap the save button in the lower left corner of the screen to save your creation to your device or to the app gallery before sending it.

Step 4. Tap Send To
This is the blue button located in the lower right corner of the screen.

Step 5. Select friends
Tap the names of the friends you want to send your snap to.
- To add your snap to your history, press My Story at the top of the screen.
- If there is a public history available in your area, it will be displayed at the bottom of My Story. You can add your snap to it by pressing Our story if it was displayed.

Step 6. Tap Submit
This action will send your snap and redirect you to the chats screen.

Step 7. Check the status of your snap
You will see this on the discussions page in chronological order in addition to other messages you have received.
- If the recipient hasn't opened your snap, you'll see a solid-colored arrow to the left of the message. Word Delivered will appear at the bottom of the snap, followed by the day of sending.
- If it is open, the colored arrow will be sketched. Word Received (for discussions) or Open will appear at the bottom of the snap, followed by the time it was opened.
- If your snap has been replayed, the symbol will turn into a circular arrow, with the word Replayed which will be displayed at the bottom of the message.
- In case your friend takes a screenshot of your snap, the symbol will turn into two arrows pointing in opposite directions, one on top of the other. You will see the word SCREENSHOT at the bottom of the snap.
- If you leave the chats page, you have the option to go back there and see the status of the snap you sent by swiping the camera screen to the right.
- Photos, videos, and chats are represented by red, purple, and blue squares, respectively.
