Radiant, well-groomed skin is one of the most important conditions for looking happy, beautiful and healthy. Most people are drawn to other people who give the impression of being groomed. For this reason, you should strive to make dark circles and pimples disappear with simple tricks.
Method 1 of 3: Protect your skin
Step 1. Drink enough water
This removes toxins from your body and ensures that your skin glows. The cheapest and most effective method of facial care is to drink plenty of water, which will allow your skin to be naturally hydrated.
Step 2. Apply sunscreen with SPF 30 when in the sun
Ultraviolet rays from the sun can damage your skin and cause it to become tanned or discolored. Apply sunscreen with SPF 30 every hour when you are in the sun and every 30 to 45 minutes if you are sweating or swimming.
Avoid visiting solariums, as the concentrated ultraviolet rays are extremely harmful to health and can cause skin cancer
Step 3. Eat a healthy, balanced diet
Your skin will look healthy and radiant if the inside of your body is the same. You need to eat a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables in order to enjoy the natural beauty of your skin. The most important foods for healthy and beautiful skin include:
- antioxidants found in colorful fruits and vegetables, such as apricots, berries, spinach, and kale;
- salmon, tuna, sardines and animal hearts contain CoQ10 (ubiquinone), which promotes healthy skin;
- vitamin A in carrots, cantaloupe melons and oranges;
- healthy oils and fats from fish, olive oil and nuts.
Step 4. Avoid touching your face with your fingers
Be careful not to touch your face, even if your hands are not dirty, as they carry bacteria and oils that will cause your skin to lose its glow.
Don't try to pinch pimples and blackheads. They will disappear on their own
Step 5. Always keep your household and personal care products clean
Minimize the amount of contaminants on your skin by washing your pillow once a week and your makeup brushes every 1 to 2 weeks, checking the expiration dates of your products, always washing your hands before touching your face and removing makeup every night before going to bed. While foundations and concealers are helpful in covering pimples and blemishes, too much of these products could make skin problems worse.
Step 6. Remove makeup as soon as possible
At the end of the day, when you get home, you should immediately apply cleanser to your face and neck to remove dirt and makeup residue. This will open your pores and allow your skin to breathe.
Method 2 of 3: Develop a skin care routine
Step 1. Use a gentle cleanser 2-3 times a day to wash your face
You will need to wash your face at the sink or in the shower with a cleanser intended for this purpose to remove dirt, bacteria and excess makeup from your skin. The best times to cleanse your face are the moments after you wake up and before going to bed.
Step 2. Pat your face with a clean towel without rubbing it
It is preferable to gently dab your skin so that it retains its hydration and suppleness.
Step 3. Gently rub your skin every day
Do this using a washcloth or a loofah sponge. Your hands are not enough, you have to rub off dead skin cells and dirt every day to make room for new healthy skin cells that develop. Apply light pressure, mix soap and water on a washcloth, and scrub your entire body. It shouldn't hurt, but it can feel a bit rough.
Step 4. Apply tonic lotion to the face
Do this after washing your face with a mild cleanser. The lotion is available in the skin care section of your drugstore and is usually applied with a cotton ball or paper towel. It eliminates minerals, such as chlorine, iron or magnesium, which are present in tap water or in swimming pools. The buildup of these minerals on your skin can clog pores and lead to breakouts. As you cleanse your face, your pores may be enlarged and the lotion will close them back to their normal size. This prevents the build-up of large amounts of dirt, oil, makeup, or bacteria that clog the pores, causing pimples to form.
Step 5. Apply moisturizer on dry or windy days
Wind and heat remove natural moisture from your skin. By adding a moisturizer to your skin care routine, you will be able to combat the harmful effects of the weather. Find an oil-free cream that could make your skin oily and shiny. To properly apply the moisturizing cream or gel, pat it in an upward motion, starting at the base of the neck until you reach the cheeks and stop under the eyes. Apply the cream to your forehead in outward strokes.
Step 6. Wear loose, breathable clothing as often as possible
Your skin needs fresh air to thrive, so provide it with enough oxygen. Avoid spandex as much as possible and prefer to wear lightweight, breathable fabrics. This is especially important when you are in hot and humid places.
Step 7. Exfoliate your skin regularly
Frequent exfoliation is extremely important in keeping the skin healthy. Exfoliation helps remove accumulations of dead cells, waste, and oils, which could make your skin appear dull. It also helps to renew the epidermis, thus making the skin young and radiant.
Method 3 of 3: Make your skin glow
Step 1. Get a light tan
While excessive tanning can damage your skin, a tanned glow is the definition of radiant skin. Limit your time in the sun to thirty minutes or an hour a day and always use sunscreen. It may take a while, but a light, even tan will really make your skin look gorgeous.
Use a browner with a natural, light tan to make your skin glow and healthy
Step 2. Use luminescent products
Make-up is perfect for achieving an artificial glowing complexion. It's best to try a luminescent primer to give your face a long-lasting glow or a reflective foundation to have beautiful, natural-looking skin. If you want an even more intense shine, you can always add a shimmering blush at the top of your cheekbones, on the bridge of your nose, your browbone and in the middle of your chin. It is also recommended to use liquid and creamy formulas in place of powdered products if you want your skin to be particularly healthy and glowing.
Step 3. Use makeup to accentuate your already glowing skin
While overuse of makeup can eventually lead to clogged pores and dull skin, a little makeup can make a big difference. You can do it in these ways.
- For the face: mix your foundation with moisturizer for a fresh and delicate complexion. This will give you better coverage, but with sufficient humidity.
- For the eyes: Apply a small amount of eye shadow to the part of your eyelids directly above your pupils, which will make your eyes look tall. You can also use pale pink or white eyeliner to outline the inner edges of the lower lash line.
- For the cheeks: use a good eye shadow on the highest points of your face to look radiant and healthy. Some people say Benefit® High Beam is ideal for this! This brand is only mentioned as an indication, there are other products.
Smile! With a smile, your face will be naturally radiant and it costs less than any skin care product
- Be sure to test any new questionable products or ones you have never used on a small area of the skin for compatibility first. Some skin allergies can be very serious.
- Never use a chemical exfoliant or acidic face wash. These products can improve the appearance of your skin in the short term, but in the long term cause skin damage.
