If you have acne and aren't sure how to fix it, don't worry! By taking the right steps, you will have flawless skin in no time!
Step 1. Take care of your body
Exercise and eat a healthy diet. If you are healthy on the inside, it will show on your face. Exercise helps eliminate redness and pimples by improving the flow of oxygen. Plus, when you sweat from your face, your pores release dirt and impurities that were inside. Drink a lot of water. If you are dehydrated, your face will suffer. Try to drink eight glasses of water a day, and remember to eat fruits and vegetables. Your appearance is linked to your inner state.
Step 2. Identify your skin type
It can be oily, dry, normal or mixed. If you have oily skin, it means the sebaceous glands in your face are producing excess oil. If it is dry, your glands are not making enough oil. Determine your skin type so that you can buy the right products.
Step 3. Wash your face
Wash it off every morning and evening to remove the impurities accumulated on your skin. Use a face wash that's right for your skin type. If it's dry, try a cream cleanser. If it's oily, try a liquid product.
Step 4. Apply toning lotion
Apply it right after washing your face to remove the residue that some cleansers can leave that can cause acne. The toning lotion prepares the skin for the moisturizer so that it does not cause an acne attack when applied.
Step 5. Apply moisturizer
She is one of your best friends. Choose it carefully and use one that suits your skin type. There are many moisturizing creams or lotions formulated for different types.
Step 6. Use face masks
They help remove impurities from the pores. Do not apply them more than twice a week. If you have dry skin, use a moisturizing mask.
Step 7. Expose yourself to steam
Steam your face once a week. The result will be similar to that obtained with exercise. Dip a washcloth in hot water and place it on your face. You can also boil water, place your face over the steamer, and cover your head with a towel. The hot steam will push the impurities out of your pores.
Step 8. Exfoliate your skin
You can use a face wash that exfoliates your skin on a daily basis, or you can buy a scrub with salt, sugar, or another abrasive ingredient (you can find it at a drugstore). It will remove dead skin and restore radiance to your face.
Step 9. Use a suitable foundation
The type of makeup you apply is very important. You don't want to smear your face with foundation you've had for 2 years, because it may be infested with bacteria that will trigger an acne attack. Your best bet is to buy a mineral foundation, as it is a natural product that will not clog your pores. If you don't like it, repurchase foundation every 6 months to avoid the bacteria that cause acne.
Step 10. Tone and hydrate your skin
Apply toning lotion to remove dirt residue or bacteria before applying moisturizer. If you have oily skin, consider purchasing an oil-free moisturizer.
Step 11. Do not poke your pimples
It can seriously damage your skin. You may end up with very difficult to remove deep scars on your face.
Step 12. Be patient
Sooner or later your acne will eventually go away.
Step 13. Consult a dermatologist
He will be able to examine your skin problem and prescribe an appropriate treatment.
