Whether you're on Outlook.com or using Microsoft Outlook software for Windows, you can sync your contacts with your iPhone.
Method 1 of 2: Sync contacts from Outlook.com
Step 1. Open settings
The app is usually found on your iPhone's home screen.
This method allows you to add contacts from your Outlook.com mailbox (also called Hotmail.com or Live.com) to your iPhone contacts
Step 2. Open Accounts and Passwords
The option is represented by a white key icon on a gray background. You'll find it towards the middle of the menu.
Step 3. Tap Add Account
A list of the different types of accounts available will then be displayed.
Step 4. Tap Outlook.com
This is the second to last option in the list.
Step 5. Log into your Outlook account
Enter your email address or phone number, then click Following. Now enter your password and press To log in.
Step 6. Tap Yes
This will allow your iPhone to access your data on Outlook.
Step 7. Choose the options
You can select the options to synchronize. Drag the slider Contacts to activate it
. Do the same for any other information you want to sync.
Step 8. Press Save
The button is located in the upper right corner of your screen. Your Outlook contacts will then start to synchronize with your iPhone.
Method 2 of 2: Sync contacts from Microsoft Outlook for Windows
Step 1. Open iCloud
You need to open iCloud Control Panel from your PC. The fastest way to do this is to type iCloud in the search bar located at the bottom of the menu. To start up, then click on iCloud.
- Use this method if you have Microsoft Outlook installed on your computer and you are using it to manage your contacts.
- If you don't have iCloud for Windows installed, you can download it from Apple's site.
Step 2. Log in
You need to sign in with your Apple ID first. If you are already logged in, you can skip this step.
Step 3. Select the options
Check the box next to Mail, contacts, calendar and tasks with Outlook. This will add the Outlook data to other items that sync with your iPhone.
Step 4. Click Apply
The button is located at the bottom of the window. Your Outlook contacts (as well as your emails, calendar and tasks) will now sync with your iPhone.
