All emails archived in Outlook are located in the Archives folder. This folder is accessible from the sidebar on Outlook.com and in the Windows Mail app. In the Outlook application, you will need to import the Outlook email file.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Go to the Archives folder on the Outlook website

Step 1. Log in to Outlook
In a web browser, open this page. You can use any browser for Windows or for Mac.

Step 2. Log into your Outlook account
Use the email address and password associated with your Outlook.com account to sign in.
- If you don't have an Outlook account, you can create one for free by clicking on Create a free account under the login field.

Step 3. Click Archives
This folder is located in the left sidebar of the Outlook inbox.
- To archive one of the emails from your inbox, right-click on it then select Archive in the context menu.
Method 2 of 4: Go to the Archives folder in Windows Mail

Step 1. Open Mail
This is the application with an icon that looks like an envelope on the right of the Windows taskbar.

Step 2. Click the All Folders icon
This icon looks like a folder and is located on the left of the taskbar.

Step 3. Select Archives
This folder contains archived emails.
- To archive an email in the Windows Mail application, right-click on it and select Archive.
Method 3 of 4: Go to the Archives folder in Outlook app

Step 1. Open Outlook
The Outlook app icon is blue and looks like a book cover with an "O" in front of an envelope.
- If you don't see the Outlook application on your desktop, click the Windows start icon and then type Outlook. The Outlook application will appear in the menu To start up.

Step 2. Click View
This option is in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
If you are using a Mac, skip this step

Step 3. Select Navigation Pane
The option icon Navigation pane looks like blue text in a sidebar. It displays a drop-down menu.
On a Mac, click the envelope-shaped icon at the bottom left of the window

Step 4. Choose Normal
This option displays the navigation pane in a sidebar on the left.
If you are using a Mac, skip this step

Step 5. Click

next to your email account.
This small triangle is located to the left of your email account and allows you to display all email folders and all categories associated with this account.

Step 6. Go to Archive
Click on the folder Archives in the left column to display all archived emails in the right panel.
- You can use the search bar at the top of the list to search for archived emails. Use the drop-down menu next to the search bar to select Folder Archives.
Method 4 of 4: Import an archived Outlook email file into the Outlook app

Step 1. Open Outlook
This is the blue cover-shaped application covered with an "O" in front of an envelope.
- If the Outlook application is not visible on your desktop, click the start menu icon and then type Outlook. The application will appear in the menu To start up.

Step 2. Click File
The option File is located at the top left of the menu bar, itself at the top of the screen. Click on it to open a drop-down menu.

Step 3. Select Open and Export
This is the second option in the menu File.
- If you are using a Mac, click Import from the drop-down menu that appears.

Step 4. Choose Open Outlook Data File
This option opens a dialog box with a file browser.
- On Mac, select the type of archive file you want to import, then click To continue.

Step 5. Select the Outlook data file
Archived files are saved as an Outlook data file with the extension “.pst”. By default, these files are located in C: \ Users \ username \ Documents \ Outlook Files (replace username with the name of your Windows user account).

Step 6. Click OK
This button is located at the bottom right of the dialog box Open Outlook Data File.
- If you are using a Mac, click Import.

Step 7. Select Archives
You can now browse archive folders under Archives in the navigation panel.
