Uploading a video to Facebook is one of the best ways to share your favorite personal moments or your new favorite video with different people. You can share your video from the website on a desktop computer or from the mobile app. Videos are added as posts, but you can limit their audience if you want them to be kept private. You cannot upload videos to the Facebook mobile site.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Use the Facebook Mobile app

Step 1. Tap the Speak Up field
All Facebook videos are added as posts. This means that you will have to create a new post to add your video.

Step 2. Press the Photo / Video button
This button is at the bottom of the post field and allows you to view your recent photos.
If this is the first time you press this button, you will be asked to allow Facebook to access your camera's camera and storage space

Step 3. Select the video you want to upload
You can select multiple videos if you want to upload more than one at the same time. Press on Ended to add the selected video (s) to your post. A preview of your new post will appear on the screen.

Step 4. Record a new video
You have the option of recording a new video rather than selecting one already stored on your device. The process varies slightly depending on whether you are using iOS or Android.
- On iOS: first press the camera button in your Facebook post, then press it a second time in the upper left corner of the Camera Roll. Select the camera button at the bottom right and then the shutter button to record. Once the video is saved, tap Use to add it to your post.
- Tap the camera button in your post and then select the camera button with a "+" at the top of the screen. Your Android camera will open to allow you to record a new video. At the end of the recording, the video will be added to the list of contents for you to select.

Step 5. Add text to the video
You can type text in your post to add details and let the viewer know what it is.

Step 6. Change the privacy of your post
Tap the audience menu at the top to choose who can see your video. If you want it to remain private, select Only me. The video will be posted to your news feed, but only you can see it.

Step 7. Tap Post to share the video
Once you are satisfied with your post, you can press Publish to start uploading the video. The process may take a while for long videos.
It is recommended that you connect to a wireless network before downloading the video to save your data plan
Method 2/3: Use the Facebook website

Step 1. Click on Photo / Video option from the menu on the left
You will find this option in the section Applications menu.
Be sure to use the desktop version of the website. You cannot upload videos from the Facebook mobile website. If you are using a mobile device and want to upload a video to Facebook, you will need to use the mobile app

Step 2. Select the Add Video option
This will bring up a window from which you can select the video (s) to upload.

Step 3. Search for the video by clicking Choose File
A file explorer will open to allow you to search for the video you want to upload from your computer. Facebook accepts virtually all popular video formats like mp4, mov, mkv, avi, and wmv.
Videos are limited to 120 minutes and their size is 4 GB

Step 4. Add a title, description and location
You can add this information using the fields below the file. This step is optional, but it will help other users find and understand your video.

Step 5. Select your audience
Pull down the menu next to the button Publish to select the people who can access the video. If you want to be the one or the only one who can see the video, choose Only me. The video will be posted to your news feed, but only you can see it.

Step 6. Click Publish
Then wait for the process to finish. Once uploaded, the video will be visible to your selected audience.
- All the videos you upload to Facebook are posted to the News Feed. There is no way to upload a video without posting it even if you choose to be the only one with access to it.
- Long videos will take a while to upload and even longer to process. Make sure you have a good internet connection before uploading large video files.

Step 7. Find your video in the Photos section of Facebook
To view all the videos you've uploaded, go to the app Pictures from the menu on the left.
- Go to the tab Albums then select the album Videos to see all the videos you have uploaded.
Method 3 of 3: Troubleshoot problems

Step 1. Make sure your video is not too big
Facebook limits the maximum size of videos to 4 GB and their duration to 120 minutes. If you can't upload your video, make sure it doesn't exceed these limits.

Step 2. Check the format of your video
Facebook supports most popular video formats like AVI, MOV, MP4, and MKV. If your video is not in one of the accepted formats, you will not be able to upload it. For this to be possible, you will need to convert it first. Read this article for more details.

Step 3. Upload the video when you have a stable connection
If you are using a mobile device and your connection is poor, you will have trouble uploading your video. Try again when you are connected to a Wi-Fi network with a strong signal.
