On Facebook Messenger, it is possible to find a friend's location using the location tool.
Steps

Step 1. Open Facebook Messenger
It's the app in the shape of a blue chat bubble with a white lightning bolt inside. You'll find it on your home screen or in the app drawer.

Step 2. Choose the friend you want to locate
Your conversation with this friend will be displayed.

Step 3. Enable localization
This requires that you and your friend both share your location. Here's how to share yours.
- Tap the blue arrow. If you don't see it, tap the square with three dots, located towards the lower right corner of your screen, and then select Position.
- Press the send button (the blue and white arrow) next to Current position. Your location will now appear in the conversation.

Step 4. Select the card sent by your friend
If your friend shares their location, their map will also appear in the chat. Tap the map to see its location, designated by a red pin.
- You'll also see your own location, marked with a blue circle on your friend's map.
- To open your friend's map in Google Maps, tap the right-pointing arrow below the map, choose Maps, then Always. You will then see a more detailed map and you can get directions to where your friend is.
