For your personal use or to share it later, you can save a Facebook photo to your computer, phone or tablet. For this to be possible, you must have a Facebook account, but keep in mind that you cannot upload cover photos of other users.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Download Facebook Photo to Desktop

Step 1. Log in to Facebook
Open this page in your web browser. If you're signed in to your account, you'll see your news feed.
If you are not yet logged in to your Facebook account, first enter your email address (or phone number) and password in the upper right corner of the page to log in

Step 2. Go to the image you want to download
Scroll to the photo you want to upload in your news feed, or go to the profile of the person who posted the photo to find it.
- Cover photos cannot be saved to Facebook.
- To go to the profile of another user, click on the search bar at the top of the Facebook page, type the name of the other user, click on their name which appears in the drop-down menu and then select their profile in search results.

Step 3. Click on the photo
The photo will be displayed in full screen mode.

Step 4. Select the photo
Hover over the photo with your mouse to select it. You will see several options appear around the perimeter of the photo.
The mouse cursor must be over the photo before you can continue

Step 5. Click Options
As long as the mouse cursor is over the photo, you will see this option appear at the bottom right. Click on it to open a context menu.

Step 6. Choose Download
The option To download is in the context menu and allows you to download the photo to your computer.
- On some browsers, you will first need to select a save location and then click on OK.
- By default, your browser's save location is the folder Downloads.
Method 2 of 2: Upload Facebook Photo to Mobile

Step 1. Open the Facebook application
The app icon looks like a white "f" on a blue background. Tap it to view your news feed (if you're already signed in to Facebook).
If you are not yet logged in to Facebook, enter your email address (or phone number) followed by your password when prompted

Step 2. Go to the photo you want to download
Scroll through your news feed to the photo you want to upload. If the photo was posted by another user, go to their profile.
- You cannot save cover photos to Facebook.
- You can go to another user's profile by tapping the search bar at the top of the Facebook page, typing their name, tapping the name that appears in the drop-down menu and then tapping on the profile. in question in the search results.

Step 3. Tap the photo
The photo will open.

Step 4. Long press the photo
After 1 or 2 seconds, you will see a pop-up menu.

Step 5. Select Save Photo
This option is at the top of the pop-up menu and allows you to save the photo to your phone or tablet.
Advice
- Click on the menu Options on one of your own photos will display more options than if you clicked on other users' photos.
- You can also save photos to most computers by viewing the photo, right-clicking on it and then selecting Save Image As (or a similar option) from the drop-down menu that appears. Select a save location then click OK.
- Using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + S (or Command + S on a Mac) on a computer saves the web page, not the selected photo.
