With your Windows Live or Microsoft account, you can use and access various services offered by Microsoft, including email services and online office suites. As with others, it is also possible to link your Microsoft account to different social networks.
Step 1. Go to www
live.com and then sign in to your Microsoft account.
If you don't have one yet, you can create one by clicking on the link create an account now.
Step 2. Go to your profile
Click on your name in the upper right corner of the page and select modify the profile from the drop-down menu.
Step 3. Connect an account
You will be able to see in the upper right corner of the page the different sites to which your account is currently connected. Click on Add to connect another account.
Step 4. Select Facebook from the list of “accounts you use every day”
You will be redirected to the Facebook login page.
Step 5. Log into your Facebook account
Step 6. Check your notifications
A message will tell you that an app wants to access your Facebook data. Read this notification and if you want to continue click on OK.
- The Microsoft app will then ask you if you want it to be able to post on your behalf, send and receive messages. Click on OK if you agree.
Step 7. Configure your privacy settings
You can also configure the privacy settings for publications posted by the application. Click on the drop-down menu in the lower left corner of the window and then choose who you want to share this information with.
- If you click Later, Microsoft will ask you this time for permission to access your notifications by displaying the same window again.
Step 8. Click Save to save your changes
Your Facebook and Microsoft accounts are now linked. Go back to your Microsoft profile page and you will be able to see the Facebook icon in the list of accounts linked to your Microsoft account.
