You may want or need to delete a business page, personality page, or themed page on Facebook. You can do this with a computer or from your Android or iPhone device. If you want to delete your Facebook account, see the article to permanently delete your Facebook account.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Delete a page from a computer

Step 1. Open Facebook

Using your browser, go to Facebook. If you are signed in to your account, this will open your news feed.

If you are not signed in to Facebook, enter your email address (or phone number) and password before continuing

Step 2. Click the Menu icon

It is located in the upper right corner of the page. This will bring up the drop-down menu.

Step 3. Select Manage Pages

The option is in the middle of the list.

If you see your page name at the top of the menu, you can directly click on it and skip the next step

Step 4. Select your page

Click the name of the page you want to delete.

Step 5. Click Settings

This is one of the tabs at the top of the page. This will take you to the page settings.

Step 6. Click General

You'll find this option at the top of the list on the left side of the page.

Step 7. Select Delete Page

This option is at the very bottom of the page. Clicking on it will expand the header and display a series of additional options.

Step 8. Click Permanently delete (page)

You will find the option under the heading Delete page.

  • For example, if your page is called Tartines et Chocolat, you will need to click on Permanently remove toast and chocolate.

Step 9. Confirm the deletion

Click on Delete page when prompted. Once you click on OK, your page will be permanently deleted.

Method 2 of 2: Delete a page from a phone

Step 1. Launch Facebook

Press the "F" icon on a blue disk. This will open your news feed, if you are logged in.

If you are not signed in to Facebook, enter your email address (or phone number) and password before continuing

Step 2. Press ☰

The button is located at the bottom right on an iPhone or at the top of the screen on Android. A menu will then appear.

Step 3. Tap My Pages

The option is at the top of the menu.

  • On Android, you may need to scroll down the page and tap Pages.

Step 4. Select your page

Click the name of the page you want to delete. This will open a new page.

Step 5. Tap Edit Page

The option is represented by a pencil icon located under the heading. A drop-down menu will then appear.

  • If you can't find the option Edit the page, then press "⋯" at the top right of the screen and select Edit the page in the menu that will appear.

Step 6. Select Settings

This is one of the menu options. This will open the settings page.

Step 7. Tap General

The option is at the top of the menu.

You will find it at the bottom of the page.

This is one of the links in the section Delete page.

  • For example, if your page is called Tartines et Chocolat, you will need to click on Permanently delete toast and chocolate.

Step 10. Confirm the deletion

Click on Delete page when prompted. Once you click on OK, your page will be permanently deleted

You cannot restore your page

Advice

  • To delete a Facebook page, you must be its creator or administrator.
  • Your page will exist until you delete it.
  • You can also hide your Facebook page temporarily, rather than deleting it.
