To save information or to share your work, you can take a screenshot of your device and save it as an image. This is possible on Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad or Android.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Take a screenshot on Windows

Step 1. Learn how to take a screenshot on Windows 10 or 8
Press the ⊞ Win + Print key. screen to save the capture directly as a file. This will save you from having to paste it into Paint. The file is in the folder Screenshot of your file Pictures. If this folder does not already exist, it will be created automatically.

Step 2. Capture the entire screen on Windows 7 or Vista
To take a screenshot on Windows 7 or Vista, press the Print key. screen. You may see another lettering instead, but usually this key is between the F12 key and the key that locks the screen. If you are using a laptop computer, you will need to press the Function or Fn key.
The image will be copied to the clipboard and you will need to paste it into a document to view it

Step 3. Capture only the active window
Click on the window you want to capture then press Alt + Print. screen. On some laptop models, you will need to press Alt + Fn + Print. screen.

Method 2 of 4: Take a screenshot on a Mac

Step 1. Take a full screen capture
To capture the entire screen as an image and then save it to the desktop, press ⌘ + ⇧ Shift + 3. The computer will sound like a shutter and a "Screenshot (date)" file will appear on your desktop.
If you want to copy the capture to your clipboard instead of saving it as a file, press ⌘ + control + ⇧ Shift + 3. The image will be copied to the clipboard and you can paste it into a document or image editor

Step 2. Capture part of your screen
If you only want to capture part of your screen, press ⌘ + ⇧ Shift + 4. The mouse cursor will become a test pattern that you can drag to select the part of the screen to capture.
Release the mouse to capture the selection. The computer will make a shutter sound and the image will be saved as a file to your desktop

Step 3. Capture a specific window
If you want to capture a specific window, press ⌘ + ⇧ Shift + 4 then Space. The mouse cursor will take the shape of a camera and all you have to do is click on the window you want to capture.
When clicked, the computer will make a shutter sound and an image file will be created on your desktop
Method 3 of 4: Take a screenshot on iPhone or iPad

Step 1. Open the page you want to capture
On your iPhone or iPad, find the image, photo, message, website, etc., that you want to capture.

Step 2. Long press the home and standby buttons
You must press these 2 buttons at the same time.
The screen will flash to indicate that a capture has been taken

Step 3. Open the Photos app

Step 4. Tap Albums at the bottom right of the screen

Step 5. Scroll down to the Captures album
The image you just captured will be the last image at the bottom of the album.
Method 4 of 4: Take a screenshot on Android

Step 1. Go to the screen you want to capture
Find the image, photo, post, website, etc., that you want to capture.

Step 2. Simultaneously press the power and volume down buttons
To take a screenshot, you must press and hold these buttons.
- On Samsung Galaxy devices, press the power button + the home button.
- The screen will flash to indicate that a capture has been taken.

Step 3. Open the notifications bar
Swipe down on the screen to open the notifications bar.

Step 4. Tap Successful screenshot
This option will display the capture you have just taken.
- The image will be saved in the album Screenshot in your device's default photo app. This could be Gallery, Google Photos, or Photos if you're using a Samsung device.
