Learn how to stop saving your browsing and search activity from your Google Account in Chrome. It is not possible to stop the collection of your browsing data locally on your computer, but you can deactivate it in your online account.
Steps

Step 1. Open the Google Chrome browser on your computer
The Chrome icon looks like a tricolor circle with a blue circle in the center.

Step 2. Click on your profile icon
It looks like the thumbnail image of your Google profile and can be found at the top right of the New Tab page. A drop-down menu will open.
- If you don't have a profile picture, you will only see your name's initials on this button.
- If Chrome opens a page other than New Tab, just open a new tab yourself to display the button you want.
- If you are not yet signed in to your Google account on Chrome, you will see a blue Sign In button. In this case, click on it and identify yourself to access your account.

Step 3. Click My Account
It's the blue button in the drop-down menu. Your Google account page will then open.

Step 4. Click Manage Activity Orders
This can be found under the Data & Personalization navigation panel in the center column of your Google Account.
If you don't see this option, click Data & Personalization at the top. Then look for the management option in the left navigation panel

Step 5. Click Manage Activities
This option is in capital blue letters under the heading Orders relating to the activity. You will be asked to confirm this action in a new pop-up window.

Step 6. Turn off the Web and app activity switch
It is activated when it is blue in color and you will be asked to confirm your choice in a pop-up window.

Step 7. Click DISABLE in the pop-up window
Your choice is then confirmed, the switch is deactivated and becomes grayed out. Chrome no longer saves your browsing and search data in your Google Account.
