With the Google Chrome browser, you can change the region settings to get more relevant results when you search Google. By modifying this parameter, you will have access to Google results in another language or another country: your search horizon will be wider. On the other hand, if you want to browse anonymously, for reasons that belong to you, you can use a proxy server or a VPN.
Step 1. Run Google Chrome
Click or double-click on the Chrome logo, a green, yellow, red diaphragm with a blue center circle.
From iPhone or Android device, region settings cannot be changed
Step 2. Type whatever you want in the address bar
Click on the address bar at the top of the window, then type whatever you want and validate by pressing Enter.
Step 3. Click Settings
Just under the Google address bar, on the right, you'll see this button. A drop-down menu will then appear.
Step 4. Click Search Settings
This option is in the drop-down menu. A new page appears with various proposals.
Step 5. Scroll down to the Region Settings section
This is the last column.
Step 6. Select a country
In the long list, click on the radio button to the left of the country you are interested in.
- If you do not find the country you want in the list, click on More, other countries or regions appear.
Step 7. Scroll down and click Save
The blue button is at the bottom of the page on the right.
Step 8. Click OK
In doing so, the changes are saved and the search refreshed. If you were looking for more geographically targeted results, you should be served.
