How to hide tabs in Google Chrome

You use Google Chrome and sometimes you would like to be able to hide tabs so that you only have the web page you are viewing on the screen. It's very easy ! Whether you're using Windows or macOS, there's a keyboard shortcut to hide inactive tabs.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Edit in Windows

Step 1. Activate Google Chrome

Go look for the Google Chrome icon through the menu To start up Windows. The icon may very well also be on the Office.

At the top of the Google Chrome page, you will find a small diamond or a "+" following the tabs to the right, click on it to display a new tab.

Step 4. Press the F11 key

Look at the top of your keyboard on the right, you will find the key F11. Pressing it will hide the inactive tabs and the active tab will switch to full screen mode.

Step 5. Press F11 again

To display the hidden tabs again, select the key again. F11. This will deactivate full screen mode and make the other tabs visible.

Method 2 of 2: Change in macOS

Step 1. Go to Google Chrome

Passing by Finder, go to Applications where you will find Google Chrome.

Step 2. Press +

On the web page, you will see tabs at the top that are already open. To the right of the last tab you will see a small diamond or a "+", click on it to open a new tab.

Step 3. Open the website that interests you

Find the website you want to visit and open it. This website will be the one you are going to display in full screen while you hide the other tabs. The website should not be disturbing to other computer users. Select a website, such as wikiHow.

Step 4. Perform the Cmd key combination + Ctrl + F.

Press the keys Cmd, Ctrl, F to put the active tab in full screen mode, which will cause the other tabs to be hidden.

Step 5. Press the Cmd keys again + Ctrl + F.

Press the keys again Cmd, Ctrl, F to deactivate the full screen mode of the website and display the other tabs that were hidden.
