Learn how to fill out and save PDF in Google Chrome on your computer.
Step 1. Open the PDF in Google Chrome
If the PDF is not already open in it, you can use the Open With feature.
- In Windows: right click on the PDF, choose Open with in the drop-down menu, then click Google chrome in the list that appears.
- On Mac: click once on the PDF to select it, then click on File then on Open with in the drop-down menu, and finally on Google chrome in the list that appears.
Step 2. Fill out your PDF
Click on a text field in the PDF and enter your answer. Do this for all the fields to be filled in, until you have completed everything.
To fill in certain text fields of PDFs, it is possible to simply click on them to enter your answer. This is the case, for example, with checkable caches
Step 3. Click ⋮
This can be found at the top right of the Chrome window. A drop-down menu will appear.
Step 4. Click Print…
You will find this option near the top of the drop-down menu. Once you click on it, the Print menu will open on the left of the Chrome window.
Step 5. Click Edit…
It is below and to the right of the Destination header. A pop-up window presenting the different printing options will appear.
Step 6. Click Save as PDF
This is the option below the Print destinations header. The pop-up window will then close.
Step 7. Click Save
This blue button is at the top of the Print menu on the left of the window. When clicked, a Save As window opens on the screen.
Step 8. Enter a name for your PDF
Enter the name of your choice in the File name (on Windows) or Name (on Mac) text box in the Save As window.
Step 9. Select a recording location
Click on one of the folders on the left of the window to choose the storage location for your PDF.
- On a Mac, you may need to click the box Or before clicking on the desired folder.
Step 10. Click Save
This is located at the bottom of the window and will allow you to save the completed PDF in the folder of your choice!
