Want to know how to delete photos from your Instagram account on computer? Whether on Windows or Mac, you can either use Bluestacks or open Instagram's mobile website with Google Chrome's developer tools. You can also delete your photos using the Instagram app on Windows 10, but regardless of the version of Instagram, you cannot delete multiple photos at the same time. The services that tell you they can do this are mostly scams.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Use Bluestacks
Step 1. Know how it works
Bluestacks Android emulator can be used to delete photos from your Instagram page, but you can only delete one photo at a time.
There is no way to delete multiple photos at the same time because Instagram has blocked all extensions, apps and services that previously allowed it to be done
Step 2. Install Bluestacks on your computer
Go to this page and click on the green button Download BlueStacks then double-click on the downloaded installation file and follow the on-screen instructions.
On a Mac, you may also need to verify the installation
Step 3. Download the Instagram APK file
Bluestacks will not allow you to install Instagram from the Google Play Store, therefore you will have to download the Instagram APK file and install it directly.
- On your web browser, open this page.
- Click on Download APK.
- Wait for the download to complete.
Step 4. Open Bluestacks
Click or double-click on the Bluestacks app icon that looks like a stack of green, yellow, and blue cards.
Step 5. Open the My Apps tab
The tab My applications is located at the top left of the Bluestacks window.
Step 6. Click Install APK
This option is located at the bottom right of the window.
Step 7. Select the Instagram APK
Open the location of the APK file and then click it once to select it.
Step 8. Click Open
The option To open is located at the bottom right of the window and allows you to install Instagram.
Step 9. Open Instagram
Click the square multicolored camera icon to open Instagram.
- If you are asked to relaunch Bluestacks with another graphics card, click To restart and wait for the app to restart before continuing.
Step 10. Click Connect
It's the blue button on the first page of Instagram.
Step 11. Enter your Instagram login information
Click on the field Phone number, email or username then type in your Instagram username (or your email address or phone number). Then click on the field Password then enter your Instagram password and click To log in.
Step 12. Verify your account
If you are asked to verify your account, follow these steps:
- select a verification method (text message or email);
- click on Send security code;
- note the 6-digit security code sent by message or email;
- enter the 6-digit code;
- click on TP submit.
Step 13. Click on your profile icon
This icon is located at the bottom right of the Bluestacks window and opens your profile page.
Step 14. Select a photo
Click on the photo you want to delete to open it.
Step 15. Click ⋮
This button is located at the top right of the photo and opens a menu.
Step 16. Select Remove
This option can be found in the menu.
Step 17. Choose Remove when prompted
The photo will be removed from your Instagram page.
Repeat the same for each photo you want to delete
Method 2 of 3: Use Google Chrome
Step 1. Know what this method allows you to do
This method allows you to delete photos from your Instagram page on computer, but you will only be able to delete one photo at a time.
There is no way to delete multiple Instagram photos at the same time, because the app has blocked all extensions, apps and services that allowed it to be done before
Step 2. Open an incognito window on Google Chrome
If Google Chrome is not open yet, launch it, click ⋮ at the top right of the window then select New incognito window from the drop-down menu that appears.
You can also open an incognito window by pressing either Ctrl + ⇧ Shift + N (if you are using a Windows computer) or ⌘ Command + ⇧ Shift + N (if you are using a Mac)
Step 3. Open the developer tools window
Right-click on an empty space in the window, then select Inspect from the drop-down menu that appears. The developer tools window will open on the right of the page.
If your mouse doesn't have separate left or right buttons, tap it with 2 fingers, tap the right side of the button, or press the trackpad with 2 fingers
Step 4. Click on the mobile devices icon
This icon looks like 2 rectangles and is located at the top left of the developer tools window. It will turn blue and Chrome will switch to mobile display.
Mobile view is already activated if the icon is already blue
Step 5. Go to Instagram
Click on the address bar at the top of the Chrome window, change the text to https://www.instagram.com/ then press Enter.
Step 6. Log in to Instagram
Click on the button To log in at the bottom of the page, enter your username (or your email address or phone number) followed by your password and click on To log in.
Step 7. Open your profile page
Click the silhouette icon at the top right of the Instagram page.
Step 8. Select a photo
Find the photo you want to delete and click on it to display it in full screen.
Step 9. Click ⋯
This button is located at the top right of the photo and opens a pop-up window.
Step 10. Select Remove
This option is in the pop-up window.
Step 11. Choose Remove when prompted
The photo will be deleted from your Instagram account. It won't go away right away, but if you refresh the page or open your Instagram feed in the app, it should no longer be visible.
To close the photo, click your profile icon again
Step 12. Repeat the same for all the other photos
Open the photo you want to delete, click ⋯, select 2 times To delete then close the photo by clicking on the profile icon.
Method 3 of 3: Use the app on Windows 10
Step 1. Know what you can do with this method
While this method can be used to delete photos from your Instagram page on computer, you cannot delete more than one photo at a time.
Instagram has blocked extensions, apps or services that once allowed multiple photos to be deleted at the same time
Step 2. Download the Instagram app for Windows
If you already have the Instagram app for Windows, go straight to the next step. Otherwise, you will need to download it first.
- Open menu To start up
- Type store.
- Click on Store
- Click on the search bar.
- Type instagram.
- Select Instagram from the drop-down menu that appears.
- Click on Get.
Step 3. Open the Start menu
Click on the Windows logo at the bottom left of the screen.
Step 4. Type instagram into the start menu
Windows will search for the Instagram app on your computer.
Step 5. Click Instagram
The Instagram app should be at the top of the window To start up. Click below to open the login page.
Step 6. Log in to Instagram
Click on To log in at the bottom of the window, enter your username (or your phone number or your email address) and your password then click on To log in.
Go straight to the next step if you are already logged in
Step 7. Click on your profile icon
It's the silhouette icon at the bottom right of the window. Click on it to open your Instagram page.
Step 8. Select a photo
Click on the photo you want to delete to open it.
Step 9. Click ⋯
This option is at the top right of the photo and opens a context menu at the bottom of the window.
Step 10. Select Remove
The option To delete can be found in the context menu.
Step 11. Choose Remove when prompted
The photo will be deleted and you will be redirected to your Instagram page.
Step 12. Repeat the process for all other photos
You cannot delete more than one photo at a time, but you can quickly delete them by opening them simultaneously before repeating the above steps.
