There are loads of apps for posting photos, but there's one that outshines the rest: Instagram. One of the main reasons for its success is probably the ease of commenting on photos. Indeed, anyone can comment and like your photos. But sometimes these comments get out of hand. In this case, follow the instructions below to remove comments you don't like and post them on photos you like.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: With the app
Step 1. Launch the Instagram app
Sign into your account. Once the app is launched, you will see the news feed.
Step 2. Find the photo you want to comment on
You can also comment on your own photos or any photo of users you follow. Click on the photo to open it.
Step 3. Click the Comment button
This button is located below the photo, next to the Like button. The interface to post a comment will open. Your keyboard will appear and you can start writing your comment.
Step 4. Write your comment
When you're happy with your text, click the green Send button. Your comment will be added to the others.
Method 2 of 3: Delete comments with the app
Step 1. Find the photo you commented on
You can only delete your own comments on other photos, but also other people's comments on your own photos.
Step 2. With your finger, drag the comment to the left
A red basket will appear to the right of the comment. Click on the recycle bin to delete the comment.
Step 3. You can also report the comment
If its content is offensive or spam, you can flag the comment and delete it. This is a very useful feature if someone keeps commenting on your photos. Click Remove & Report to report the comment. If you prefer to just delete it, then click Delete.
You will only be able to delete your own comments
Method 3 of 3: Using the Instagram website
Step 1. Log into your Instagram account
While you don't have access to so many features, you can also log into Instagram from your computer. You can comment on photos and delete comments you don't like.
Step 2. Comment on a photo
Find the photo you want to comment on. You can comment on photos in your feed or on photos you've taken. If you are commenting on a photo in your feed, you can add the comment in the field just below the photo. If you are commenting on other photos, click on the photo to open it and then add your comment in the field to the right of the image.
Step 3. Delete a comment
Open the photo whose comment you want to delete. You can only delete your own comments on other photos, but also other people's comments on your own photos.
- When you find the comment you want to delete, hover your cursor over it. An X-shaped icon will appear in the upper left corner of the comment.
- Click on the X icon. A menu will appear with the Delete option. Click on it to remove the comment.
Advice
- If people make nasty comments on your photos, you can end them by stopping following them. You will find instructions on the internet to learn how to no longer follow or block a user on Instagram.
- When posting a comment, you can add @User to address someone in particular. You can even use the pound symbol to entertain users who are viewing your photos.
- If you notice that a user regularly posts spam to your photos, please report it, as it could be a spam bot.
- To view another Instagram user's profile page, simply replace your username with their own in the URL. It's an original way to find new people to follow. You can also click on the name of a person who has commented on one of your photos to go to their page.
- You may not be able to delete a comment. In this case, sign out of Instagram and clear your device's cache memory. Restart everything. The problem should be solved.
Warnings
- Do not report a user for no reason: there will be consequences for you if you persist.
- Always be courteous in your comments, otherwise your comments will be deleted.
