On a Windows computer, it is possible to run the control panel from the command prompt, also called terminal.
Steps

Step 1. Open the Start menu
To do this, click on the Windows logo in the lower left corner of the screen, or press the
⊞ Win.
In Windows 8, move the mouse cursor to the upper right corner of the screen, then click the magnifying glass icon

Step 2. Type command prompt in the Start menu
The first result, at the top of the page, will be the link that runs the command prompt.

Step 3. Click Command Prompt
The logo is, in miniature, a window of the command prompt. Double click on it to run this utility.

Step 4. Type start control in the command prompt window
This is the command that opens a Windows Control Panel window.

Step 5. Press Enter
Validation is necessary so that the control panel, after a few seconds, appears on the screen.
Advice
- With a computer running Windows 10, to display the advanced user menu, right-click on the menu To start up or the combination ⊞ Win + X. There you will be able to run the command prompt.
